Many were probably just hoping for a brokered convention to derail the New York businessman. These experts were not simply wrong, they were drop-dead wrong.
Trump will not only reach the number of delegates it takes to win the nomination outright on Tuesday June 7th, he has won the most primary votes of any GOP presidential candidate in modern history. Based on astute political analysis, who would have guessed?
From Gateway Pundit:
George W. Bush won 10.8 million votes in the 2000 Republican primary. Donald Trump has won 11.1 million votes so far this year.
Donald Trump won Oregon tonight but Hillary Clinton barely squeaked out a win in Kentucky and lost to Bernie Sanders in Oregon....
... Trump has more primary wins (27), more overall state wins (30), the highest percentage of primary wins (87%), the highest percent of overall state wins (71%), the highest percent of primary delegates (74%), the highest percent of overall delegates (67%), and the highest percentage of votes (60%) than the final top four Republican and Democrat candidates.
B-b-but the ceiling
The same naysayers who have ardently predicted Trump could never win the nomination also forsee the presumpitve Republican nominee getting crushed in the general election.
But hell probably break another record for most votes ever by a candidate when he mops the floor with Killary in November.
Haters gonna hate.

Trump ain’t perfect.
But I want a Pres. who has some hutsbah and whom the world fears. I want the world walking on eggshells to not piss off our guy. Screw them all. SICK of being the world police. (I HATE THAT NAVY COMMERCIAL)
Did NKorea make a peep when W was Pres.? Now they shoot off their missiles.
Rest my case.
It could yield up to 44. I agree with your thoughts.
Use the additional references near the bottom of this post.
Also, note the graphics, how many Trump has, and the fact that he’ll get almost all those remaining.
He stands a very good chance of coming in with nearly 1500 delegates.

-—He can’t overcome his negatives, but he can overcome Hillary’s.

He’s going to crush her so badly, the Clinton name is going to right up there with “Borked”
The dems all know this, and they knew it from the start of the primaries.
Trump won’t go sit in the corner and cry while the dems paint him as a sexist bigot like every other Republican.
Yeah, he’s got negatives, but apparently the American people think more positively of Trump than the media keeps telling us.
Show me a man without enemies and I’ll show you a man with no character or backbone.
Go Trump!
Absolutely. We all need to push this message.
No more illegals. Deport illegals. Save America.
I bet on 1414 and 1441 for Trump and will happily lose that bet for 1500!
My keener interest now is rooting for Ted to attain and hold at 666! Go Ted, Go!
When I saw Cruz had supported a 500% increase in H-1B visas I knew he had no chance. Go Trump go!
LOL
I’m beginning to wonder if he even gets to 600.
Kasich is still trying to beat Rubio months after he dropped out.
There were many Freepers, like myself and Jim Robinson to name a couple, that early on knew Trump was going to win and win big.
The Americans freakin HATE Illegal Immigration!
BTTT
Calling Romney and Kristol..

Me, too (got behind him first day). Got behind him in previous election, too, and was disappointed when he didn’t run.
I’ve been predicting a Trump landslide since June 2015
Agree he will win in a landslide.
Rush was reading a Politico article about how terrified they are that Trump has taken control of the RNC Convention and plans a total “ShowBiz” convention that will actually attract viewers.
He could net 1-2% more popular vote from that alone.
Gonna be tough to top Reagan but with any luck, he’ll be an historical close 2nd.
I’m pretty certain he’ll get a majority of the popular vote but by the time the Soros machine gets through we’ll likely get Hillary. I don’t believe the bankers and politicians completely understand what’s happening or what WILL happen if the American voters are defrauded again. All over the country, as we sit here typing, people are choosing which politician/banker/editor to sanction if we get screwed again.
