I know. I was in a room with some Libs and a journalist on the tv remarked about "our democracy." I commented that America is not a democracy. There was a moment of silence, finally someone challenged me with, "Really?!!"
My response was, "Recite the Pledge of Allegiance."
There was pushback about the Pledge having been written in the mid 1800s.
I asked this clown to find the words democrat or democracy in the Declaration or The Constitution. End of story.
