Strange that it was at 37000 ft when it was 10 miles out, no?

Saw that there was some kind of ash alert for the area and the plane flew through it...dont know if true
To: Chickensoup
isn’t that equally strange?? doesn’t it take longer than 10 minutes to get to 37K feet?

The weapons Obama and Hillary gave ISIS appear to work.
It is such a wonderful thing two were able to have an apparent friend slaughtered in such a violent way—it was like they were able to have a fine dessert to top off the rest of their plans.
Such is the life for two people who laud Satan.

I would suppose physics is involved and descent would be faster than climbing with less stress to the plane.

If that’s true look back in history and see if they needed troops to cross rough seas in their history.
They have a tendency to write their scripture to fit the leaders needs at the time.

10 miles into Egyptian airspace - which puts it over the Med about 160 miles off the Egyptian coast.

No, it was in the cruise phase of the flight - 160+ miles from the Egyptian coast at the time.

Not likely at that altitude. Plus, no on board missile warning systems on commercial aircraft, and no way to see behind and down where a missile would be approaching.
More likely results of loss of control of aircraft.

At 37,000 feet, and 170 miles off the Egyptian coast? You’re talking a warship for a launching system as missiles that can get that high aren’t even vaguely man-portable. Most of them weigh about 1500lbs or more and are in the vicinity of 15-20 feet long.

Could be another in commanded thrust reverser issue, as another poster commented. Boeing had a problem with it but has since fixed it - but did Airbus?

Mmmm...
Right on the heels of everyone complaining about the TSA and the incredibly long lines, missed flights, etc. Yeah, that’ll shut up those commoners!
Cynical I know, but...
