Not likely at that altitude. Plus, no on board missile warning systems on commercial aircraft, and no way to see behind and down where a missile would be approaching.
More likely results of loss of control of aircraft.
Could be another in commanded thrust reverser issue, as another poster commented. Boeing had a problem with it but has since fixed it - but did Airbus?
I read another article that referenced control issues on the Airbus planes. I’m not familiar with such stuff.
