On the right, weve grown to pride ourselves on our greater openness to debate and ideas, on having no need to toe a Politically Correct line or crawl into a safe space like pampered college kids who just cant handle hearing from anyone who disagrees with them.
For myself, I am so personally dedicated to this ideal that I even perform the great personal sacrifice of reading the comments field beneath my articles.
Yet somehow I wasnt surprised to see Donald Trump supporters, those swaggering tough guys, turn one of their favorite Internet forums into a safe space where they no longer need to encounter criticism or opposition. Earlier today, Free Republic proprietor Jim Robinson announced that the discussion board would no longer tolerate opposition to Trumps candidacy.

LOL! I can relate to that story. I learned about FR in October of 98, lurked for a few months and finally took the plunge and never looked back.

I wondered what happened to Eddy! What a piece of work...I think he went over to Federalist because they allow him to post an avatar, and he posted a very dramatic, Shakespearean photo of a man with a red beard looking very, very intense. Presumably a self-portrait intended to intimidate the men and stir the loins of the ladies.
Didn't work on me. Neither did his posts over here. He has been on my personal "Do Not Post" list for over a year.

Should I stop this? I think this blows the 90% number out of the water.

I was thinking it wasn’t really him.
Ya think? If it was him the name would be “DonaldTrump.” He’s a stickler for details. lol!
He probably has an obscure name that we don’t know, just like most public people do. I may be wrong.

"I started out as a Cruz guy and still respect a lot of what he had to say, his shenanigans during the primary campaign are what drove me to Trump."There have been so many of you that have said what you said (rather eloquently), it really feels like winning in a way haven't felt since 2000. If Cruz supporters come on board in a spectrum from:
'holding nose but will vote Trump' ----> 'making phone calls for Trump'
We will beat the bag lady and beat her memorably. We will make history, and at the same time Ted will likely still be able to write his future as he sees it ... even Donald has said as much: "I'm what we need now"; yet Donald says even more with the long pause afterwards (he is a master of timing): 'and then you can do want you want - theocrat, fine'.
Frankly I don't anticipate Trump serving more than one term, of his own accord; that's why this VP selection is so damn important.

Shouldn't be hard, 90% of the Class of 1998 has been zotted.Hey, I resemble that remark! I joined in 1998! Is there a particular reason why my class is being zotted?
And by the way, I just made a donation of $50 this week and have been a Trump supporter ever since he announced. In fact, I'm hoping he'll rent my tagline!

True. Well, if I ever get zotted I'll just lurk. No other site offers such a plethora of news articles from all over the world.
Deed you say 'plethora'?

I honestly do not see the logic of trying to destroy the candidacy of Donald Trump at this point in the process.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Its completely logical if you want to see Hillary win.
Agreed. And there are some twisted GOPe who think they can keep Clinton in check and then regain the White House in 4 years...What a bunch of fools! TPP, TPA, Supreme Court...Country can’t take 4 years of her and they won’t keep her in check.
He wasn’t referring to Trump’s position on life/abortion at all. He was referring to a_perfect_lady’s claim to be a conservative yet support abortion.
