Even if Republican frontrunner Donald Trump wins the Indiana primary decisively on Tuesday, he will still likely need to win the June 7 California primary to reach the 1,237-delegate majority necessary to win the Republican presidential nomination outright.

Touchback Trump has a certain cache, no?
Which seems highly likely.
Blah blah blah.
The table is set. We know who gets what for the most part.
Cruz is attempting to corral unforced delegates, which while normal, legal and comporting with the rules, is unwise. As Rush points out, there is infinite hell to pay if Trump arrives with the most votes and loses the nomination because he was out-worked.
So don’t do that. Arrive with the fewer delegates and make a deal for conservatism in exchange for unity.
Then, create wins until 2020 and bide your time. Cruz is young. If he helps Trump, he helps himself in the long run.
That is because the GOPe did not sic kamikazes like Cruz and Kasich on Romney in 2012.
Kasich is counting on the asteroid mailmen to put him over the top.
I think Trump has Neptune. The latest Glenn Beck poll had Trump +19 on our furthest known planet.
Right now Trump is at 1002 delegates (including the unbound delegates in PA who say they will support him). He needs 235 more delegates. There are a total of 505 delegates left in the 10 remaining primaries. He could, in theory, lose all 57 delegates in Indiana, all 172 delegates in California, and all the 36 delegates in Nebraska as well, and still win. But, that would require that he win every delegate available in the other 7 primaries.
But, the latest polls I’ve seen has Trump leading in WV with 61 percent, he is leading in IN by about 10 points, and in California by over 20 points. I’m sure he’ll take NJ’s winner take all primary on June 7th.
Barring Trump dropping dead, or dropping out for some odd reason, he will have over 1237 delegates on the first ballot. There are still at least 50 unbound delegates, and I’m sure Trump and his people will go after them as well for a cushion in the delegate count.
His putting everything he had into a ground game , payroll and salaries Ted has to be running low on hard Cash. Ti make it for a month on hard cash will be extremely hard those Heidi letters for cash will e hard after tonight.
The Pac money money is down to three donors.
As much as Ted would hate it.
I think he won't go into debt to continue.
It was over after Wisconsin, then Indiana was going to be the end, now it's California. When it's obvious he's in command in California the headline will read "Even If He Wins California, Trump Needs To Win New Jersey Primary" and so on and so on.
Oh nonsense. Yes Cruz is expected to win South Dakota. But Trump is expected to still end up with about 1292 bound delegates guaranteeing him the nomination comfortably without any reliance on the unbound delegates...of which he has many pledged anyway. The question now is how much Trump will win by, not if he will win.
Cruz has been toast for several weeks. He’s nothing but burnt breadcrumbs now. Will Mitt, Jeb and the rest of the globalists give a little slack on the puppet strings and let Ted quit the race?
Yeh I don’t think that’s going to be a problem since he’s leading by a huge margin.
True. But Kasich is a mentally deranged sideshow. Anybody having any interaction with Trump supporters, and there are a ton of them, knows that they would prefer sh4tting their pants in church rather than vote for Kasich.
Is it too early to announce Cruz is politically dead, long live Cruz-or whatever? I started out supporting Cruz but soon became turned off. It is interesting as other people experienced the same thing. It is hard to put ones finger on the cause of ones reaction to his candidacy.
[Trump Needs To Win California Primary]
Now that trump has won California, he will still to win Nebraska.
Now that Trump has won Nebraska, he will still need to west Virginia
Now that Trump has won...etc ad nauseum.
..... Not to mention if he becomes the Republican candidate he will then need to be able to garner enough electoral votes as well as battling electronic tampering, the Votes of the dead and Illegals to become the next President of the United States.
.... Not gonna be a cake walk ....
It sure is...The elites care nothing for “the unwashed masses”...They are scared to death of Trump because he isn’t one of them and he looks to really help America and the people...This would hurt their cushy lifestyles....
Shoulda’ read the thread before posting vitually the thing as post #30.
You just summarized every Hugh Hewitt and Mark Levin show for the next few weeks.
Trump is way way way ahead in all the CA polls.
the race to watch there is Bernie ....
