Donald Trump on Tuesday alleged that Ted Cruzs father was with John F. Kennedys assassin shortly before he murdered the president, parroting a National Enquirer story claiming that Rafael Cruz was pictured with Lee Harvey Oswald handing out pro-Fidel Castro pamphlets in New Orleans in 1963.
A Cruz campaign spokesperson told the Miami Herald, which pointed out numerous flaws in the Enquirer story, that it was another garbage story in a tabloid full of garbage.
His father was with Lee Harvey Oswald prior to Oswald's being you know, shot. I mean, the whole thing is ridiculous, Trump said Tuesday during a phone interview with Fox News. What is this, right prior to his being shot, and nobody even brings it up. They don't even talk about that. That was reported, and nobody talks about it.
I mean, what was he doing what was he doing with Lee Harvey Oswald shortly before the death? Before the shooting? Trump continued. Its horrible. Trumps tangent followed his rebuke of Rafael Cruz using the pulpit to court evangelicals for his son. I implore, I exhort every member of the body of Christ to vote according to the word of God and vote for the candidate that stands on the word of God and on the Constitution of the United States of America, Rafael Cruz said in a video clip aired by Fox News. And I am convinced that man is my son, Ted Cruz. The alternative could be the destruction of America.

What is admitted, and bnot in doubt, is Ted’s father was a communist terrorist that took up arms to overthrow the president of Cuba. He panicked and fled to the US when he thought Castro would lose.
He then went (fled?) to Canada during the anti-war movement of the 60s, still a Cuban citizen.
That he may have crossed paths with other pro Castro activists is not a stretch at all.
These are the values discussed around Ted’s dinner table growing up, and influenced his opinions and world outlook.
The National Enquirer posted a picture and said something like, "Is this Rafael Cruz.
Kind of like what is at this link.
which shows how crazy the Inquirer story is.
Wrong ears.
Limbaugh is a caricature of his former self. Pathetic indeed, what Trump Derangement Syndrome does to a person.
Dallas was the third go at JFK in Nov. 1963. (Both the now well known, earlier in November 1963, Chicago and Tampa assassination plots were broken up and it came down to Dallas). I agree with the LBJ angle. He was flat out ruthless in his quest for power and his entire life shows it.
As for the Nov. 22, 1963, photo--has anyone established that Cruz, Sr., was in Dallas that day? The guy in the photo could be someone else.
Of course without LBJ on the ticket the Democrats might well have lost Texas in 1960...who knows if a Kennedy-Symington ticket would have won.
The LBJ angel has many supporters. One author accused LBJ of also being behind a series of other homicides.
Trumps words about Cruz/Oswald are quoted at length in a NY Times story. Its interesting. He never states that Oswald was the assassin. Oswald was you know, shot.

I missed that one. And I agree- Any candidate for POTUS stating that people: "should not even be ALLOWED to say..." is scary and should be called on it.
You're right, it does.
The National Enquirer is given a bad rep by the mainstream media because they pay sources, but they did break the John Edwards story...
“Trump needs to avoid such topics. It looks bad.”
Right you are, I just don’t understand why he make ridicules statements like this, he is ahead, all he has to do is concentrate on the issues and he will win it all.
Wow! So he admits that it's him in the picture?!?
He responded to the question asked to him. He did not start the issue. It was a set up by our enemy in the media.
Rafael the Elder was dumb enough to let the name Trump emanate from his gob. Donald didn't like it so he nuked Raffy I. What a relief to finally have a streetfighter on our side.
He could have said:
Next question?
Ask me a relevant question!
That question is not worthy of a response!
Do you have a real question instead of baited question!
What does that have to do with making America great again!
I don’t know ask Ted Cruz!
Maybe if he responsded that way the media might take him more seriously instead of trying to trap him in making idiotic statements...
just a thought...
Yep. No need at this point.
I wish I could say I’m surprised, but I’m not.
