There was no article. Trump met with NYT editorial board trying to get their endorsement. Cruz has intimated that Trump said these things behind closed doors. Now in his interview this morning, he just out and out claims that’s what Trump said. Rush is confirming something that is not confirmed.

I hear you. I didn’t think it was funny, either. I fell stepping up from the living room to our kitchen not quite a year ago and cracked a rib. It was months before the pain was gone. I know that it’s no joke.
Oh, Rush is Freudian. A tiny part of him feels guilty for getting caught after years of deceiving his loyal listeners. In a related sentence, he may even suffer from penis envy.
The only thing that Trump said that was negotiable, as I understand it was the procedures for sending the illegals back. The wall will be done.
Rush’s credibility is certainly in a downward spiral. It will never recover to the same level it once was.
Strategically and tactically unwise. Cruz can stay in regardless of the Indiana outcome. He's no more or less mathematically eliminated. And if Limbaugh thinks Trump doesn't have a lock on 1237, he's not thinking or looking very far ahead.
He'll handle "saying that Donald won't build the wall and send back illegals" by attributing the remark to others, and denying it was what he believed.
I wonder if Limbaugh is consciously or even subconsciously telegraphing to the listener, "you can have me, or you can have Trump." He's ripe for retirement anyway, maybe he's setting ascendency of Trump as his reason or excuse - not that THAT would make any sense, he's always done well when a DEM was in office and control.

Agreed. We saw Rush’s globalist tendencies back during the NAFTA fight... but after it was passed, we hoped he had mended that flaw.
Today we are in mourning, because we see that we were fooled. We let him in again, and we loved him. He is returning that with disdain. It is so not what we expected from him. We may listen in the future - but it will be quite different.
