Jon Huntsman, the former Republican governor of Utah who served in the Obama administration, thinks the GOP should stop fighting.
Weve had enough intraparty fighting. Nows the time to stitch together a winning coalition, Huntsman said, according to Politico.
And its been clear almost from the beginning that Donald Trump has the ability to assemble a nontraditional bloc of supporters, he added.
The ability to cut across traditional party boundaries like 80, 92 and 2008 will be key, and Trump is much better positioned to achieve that.
Huntsman was U.S. Ambassador to China under President Obama. His 2012 presidential campaign was marked by criticism of the GOP for focusing too much on satisfying the right wing of the party and avoiding compromise.
After ending his campaign, he skipped the 2012 Republican convention over disagreements with the partys platform.
I will not be attending this years convention, nor any Republican Convention in the future, until the party focuses on a bigger, bolder, more confident future for the United States, he said at the time.
Huntsman said in February that he could see himself supporting Trump for president

Carly Fiorina is a total inbedded Anti-Trump distraction !!!
“Another RINO for Trump. Seems like they know something you people dont”

He’s just kissing ass and trying to remain relevant.
Trump will have a lot of house cleaning to do when he wins. The GOPe are scared, and should be.
Pleasant surprise coming from RINO Huntsman.
Particularly since Old Man Huntsman is a long-time Beck Buddy.
Mitt Romney is against Trump; therefore Jon Huntsman is for Trump. The two rival Romney clans don’t like each other. It’s as simple as that.
Almost all the Mormons are liberals, that’s the funny part.
They vote Republican but they are very milk toast conservatives.
I think the way the LDS Church is going, they may turn Social Justice Warriors any moment!
Huntsman is also a CEO of a multinational corporation. Another, “He built that” man. he has operated a materials corporation for decades that employs thousands. They’ve also built the Huntsman Cancer institutes, one of the premier treatment centers. I don’t see his endorsement as a bad thing. He’s served as an ambassador to China; his insights there could be helpful as well.
I wasn’t sure he was still a “Republican”.
