From the outset, and particularly since the ridiculous Never Trump campaign began, we have outlined the most damaging aspect to Senator Ted Cruzs presidential bid is his continued visibility. The reasoning is simple: the more people see and hear Cruz, the more the average electorate are turned off by Cruz. Hes just not a likeable man.
A CNN article today points out the internal polling within Indiana is following this consistent pattern:
Cruz allies and people close to the campaign describe a budding sense of gloom, with internal polls diving as Trump mounted even stronger than expected showings in his native northeast. In Indiana, which Cruz backers once believed they were favored to win after his strong defeat of Trump in Wisconsin, Cruzs numbers have fallen precipitously: Once leading, Cruz now trails in the state by eight to 10 points, according to a person who has seen the numbers, with Trump over the 40% mark. Cruzs campaign did not respond when asked about those figures.
Indiana is the absolute last chance for Senator Ted Cruz and the entire coalition behind the #NeverTrump movement. Like Florida in March, tens of millions are now being spent to psychologically target the larger electorate in Indiana with a constant barrage of negative attack ads.
Trump internals from Indiana as of today: Trump 51% Cruz 32% Kasich 13%

Cruz Campaign Cant Fill A Rally: An NBC news truck was parked outside of the center. There were also five marked police cars as well as a couple of fire department vehicles. There were some cars being used to block off a sidewalk on the side of the building, but other than that nothing else stood out

Add Brit Hume to that list. And Rush is getting close.
Another fact-free ad hominem attack. That’s all you or your candidate have these days.
So you don’t have a link. Didn’t think so.
Yes, Trump is not a Conservative. But he is a patriot who loves his country and will do everything in his power to try and save her from total destruction, for the sake of his children and grandchildren. That’s good enough for me and it should be good enough, at this point in our history, for any patriot who loves America! Period...end of story.
I think if Trump wins Indiana, Cruz will take to the podium and formally accept the republican nomination anyway.
Sir, I am on record as being prepared to support Trump if he is the nominee -- a position which, I'd wager, is not reciprocated by you.
However, it is Trump supporters such as yourself that will make my task more and more distasteful. Your hero seems to have the unique ability to re-make his supporters into images of himself -- belligerent jerks who believe the smears he spouts.
You condescendingly demean not only Senator Cruz, but the FReepers and conservatives like Dr. Thomas Sowell who support him.
If you check out Real Clear Politics they have the latest polls and a good average of them.
Right now they give Trump a 10% lead.
Here you are: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/in/indiana_republican_presidential_primary-5786.html
I think Big Mo will push him even more. Pence’s lukewarm thing on Cruz was not helpful anymore than picking Carly Fiorina. All that did was waste any offer he could make at the convention if Trump did not have enough delegates to win on 2nd or third ballot. So Cruz blew his Hole Card for someone who can’t help and has no delegates.
All that did was put Trump in the Driver’s Seat. If needed he can dangle that VP slot to whomever he needs to, if necessary.
Bottom line is that Cruz is not much on strategic thinking here and blew it.
Trump likes A list women. This is a man who once had a meltdown when he allowed some eurotrash into his limo and the woman sat on a box of chocolates which got smeared onto The Donald’s white leather seats. Hardly the type to get involved with a chick who lives in a cardboard box.
Cruz should not be going here. He’s lucky; no one is going to reveal any more about his seedy affairs because he’s never going to be president. I suppose we should be lucky his affairs were with women, not boys.
“Senator Cruz” doesn’t need anyone to demean him, he did that all by himself and you damn well know it. Ditto for those FReepers who remain misguided and support him. As For Dr. Sowell, I couldn’t really give a flip what he thinks and about his choice, he chose wrong.
And don’t make assumptions about who I would vote for or support IF somehow Trump is not the nominee. The only way that would happen however, is if the GOPe and their fellow establishment sacks o’ sh!t steal the nomination from him.
Then?
All bets are off.
You are acting like a disruptive troll.
Stop, as in “cease and desist” in trying to discredit, demean, deny the front runner this forum is supposed to be supporting.
If you are not with us in supporting Donald Trump for President of the United States... I recommend you opus out for the duration.
supporters of the disruptive “Second Ballot Initiative” that is sponsored by the GOPe and Ted, need to get the memo.
Yup... and to said picayune percentage of sulking sit-it-outs, my own counsel is and evermore shall be:
Your vote is your own damned responsibility. Stop trying to make it OURS! ;)
would someone explain why fivethirtyeight.com still has cruz winning Indiana?
He’s not likeable. That’s the thing.
With his never-ending whiny, sniveling, begging whimper droning over and over and over in my head, I just want to say Cruz! STFU already!
Seriously!
I hope so.
Thats good enough for me and it should be good enough, at this point in our history, for any patriot who loves America! Period...end of story.
The problem is, i've noticed a lot of people have different ideas about what is patriotic and what is good for the country. I hope Trump will do the right thing, but I feel very uneasy when we assume someone from very Liberal New York is going to do that.
I like much of what he has said so far, I just worry that he will campaign as a conservative, but rule as a Liberal. There has been far too much of that over the years for my taste. (George Herbert Walker Bush, for example.)
And this because your candidate was able to block Trump from getting the majority of delegates!
Amazing poll.
A 15 day poll which began 13 days BEFORE the 5 State primary obliteration of Cruz by Trump.
I thnk we we have seen the first poll aimed exclusively at the terminally gullible and stupid.
You too, mk! Always enjoy your posts - which are hilarious!
