Whether the establishment likes it or not, and it evidently does not, there is a revolution going on in America.
The old order in this capital city is on the way out. America is crossing a great divide, and there is no going back.
Donald Trumps triumphant march to the nomination in Cleveland, virtually assured by his five-state sweep Tuesday, confirms it, as does his foreign policy address of Wednesday.
Two minutes into his speech before the Center for the National Interest, Trump declared that the major and overriding theme of his administration will be America first. Right down the smokestack!
Gutsy and brazen it was to use that phrase, considering the demonization of the great anti-war movement of 1940-41, which was backed by the young patriots John F. Kennedy and his brother Joe, Gerald Ford and Sargent Shriver, and President Hoover and Alice Roosevelt.
Whether the issue is trade, immigration or foreign policy, says Trump, we are putting the American people first again. U.S. policy will be dictated by U.S. national interests.

I don’t know how I forgot to mention how he loved the Chinese Communists, yet another reason why Nixon is a trash-tier President.
Imagine that, a president that wants to help America instead of hamstring it and bring it down.
I wish to God there was a way to prosecute everyone in this white house who’ve done all they can to destroy us, pissed all over our allies and aided and abetted our islamic enemies. I call what they’ve been doing TREASON.
Here here, well said. The EU nations do absolutely nothing for us but fart in our general direction.
Let them fin for themselves and see how long they last.

Why was it ever anything else?
Corruption, greed and bribery.
“Corruption, greed and bribery.”
And gaining democratic party voters
I backed Buchanan, worked for and voted for him in 2000.
It was the GOPe’s treatment of him in 1996, that opened my eyes to how vile they were. They laid the title “the Next Hitler” on him that spring, and killed his chances.
They tried the same thing on Trump, and the beauty of that is, he crushed them despite it.
Folks that can’t grasp the significance of this are destined to do one of or both of two things.
1. They will keep trashing Trump for being a Leftist.
2. They will see him only as just another candidate, someone we don’t want or need.
W R O N G
We must want him, because we desperately need him.
He is the antidote to the GOPe folks.
Trump is not just another candidate. He has the gravitas to drive through his policies. We will back him up 100% as he does it too.
Buchanan’s two big things in 2000 were immigration reform, sending the illegals back and sealing the border, and stopping the devastating effects of Free Traitor policies.
Trump addresses both, and extends it out to cover the complete Reagan doctrine, and includes additions that make his platform more to the right of Reagan’s. That’s not a put down of Reagan. Reagan did what he could do in his day, and he was light years ahead of the pack. He’s the best president in my lifetime.
Trump may or may not surpass him. I say that because there are some very important things that need to be done, and Trump is on them all. But even if he does implement them all, he will be no better a president than Reagan. We will simply love them both.
If he is successful in implementing those policies, it will be cause we understood it all so much better, because the Gipper led us in the right direction.
I love Reagan. In time I hope we all can love Trump as much.
Agree completely. If Trump wins, it would be great to have Pat at a seat of honor at the ceremony.
“It was really Pat Buchanan who should be considered the Founder of the modern nationalist Tea Party movement. Everything goes back to 1992. I remember Buchanan’s run and he was light-years ahead of Bush on everything.
Buchanan deserves not only recognition, but a Presidential Medal of Freedom.”
“the false song of globalism”
Money shot. Someone knows his history and the Sirens.
What Michael Savage suggested he do months ago. Borders, language, culture, America first.
I am with you. Hope we are wrong. Sure would like to be wrong on this one.
Americans have bled and died, given our sons and daughters to advance freedom. We’ve lavished our treasure on the rest of the world. Every single productive American has given of their own wealth to help others around the world. Very few nations would ever come to our aid. In fact, we are the most generous nation on the planet, yet we hear how Americans are hated around the world.
Enough already. I equate America to a lifeboat taking on survivors of a sinking ship. You can only pull so many out of the water before the lifeboat begins to tip. We are there. If America continues to neglect it’s own well being, there will be no America. Wonder if folks around the world could ever imagine a planet without America? Would they even care?
America must take care of America. The lie that protecting our own is isolationism is absurd. If this is perceived as protectionism, then so be it.
America first.
I agree. Rember Chile.
I was with you in 2000. Remember the Bush-Buchanan wars? Good times.
That was THE sentence of the speech. Even of the election.
Yes. I remember.
They would have been a lot better days if we had prevailed on the Bush folks to the point they withdrew.
Oh yes, Japan who’s been running 100’s of billion$$ in trade surpluses with us: 1% of GDP on defense.
Well said, I agree with every word of that.
Great article.
