Ted Cruz's presidential campaign has a short list of potential vice presidential picks that includes former rival Carly Fiorina, campaign aides announced Monday.
Cruz's campaign manager tweeted that they "have narrowed our VP candidates to a short list and are going thru the normal processes associated with picking a running mate." A top aide to Fiorina confirmed to NBC News that the former Hewlett-Packard CEO who endorsed Cruz earlier this year was on the list.
The vice presidential candidate selection process has typically been a secretive one in modern presidential politics. Candidates generally shy away from talking publicly about the vetting until they secure their parties' nominations.
Cruz currently trails frontrunner Donald Trump by almost 300 delegates.
John Kasich's campaign confirmed to NBC News they also are vetting potential vice presidential picks. But chief strategist John Weaver told NBC News, "We are conducting a deliberative process and not in public."

Pathetic. Both of them.
I call it desperation time. First the teaming up with Kasich and now announcing his shortlist for VP. Ted is scared to death.
The woman is willing to do porn for $10 grand.

Carly got $500k.

Forget for one moment what positions she has on various issues. This speaks of tremendous arrogance. Here he is, not even close to being in first place, and he’s already vetting candidates. This shows that the man has no humility, and he believes that he is going to be the candidate, despite what the voters are saying. If I was on the fence regarding Cruz, this would have put me firmly on the side of the fence against voting for him.
Wow. She luvs dem mozlems, and is actually very liberal on most issues, besides being a nasty person and rotten CEO.
Presumptuous slimy bastard.
Going after the nerd vote?
That was my first thought too. Don't most candidates get the nomination first (or at least become clear front-runners) and only then start worrying about running mates? Cruz picking a running mate at this stage of the game is like the people who make plans for how they're going to spend their powerball millions as soon as they buy a lottery ticket.

Exactly.
Maybe it's starting to dawn on Ted that even if he manages to derail Trump and give the RNC that brokered convention that it wants, he isn't going to be the nominee. Maybe he thinks that a stunt like this will convince the RNC and its puppet delegates to consider him instead of Mitt or Jeb during the second or third vote.
“Cruz is trying to force Trump to make the election about women, to help Hillary.”
I think you hit the nail on the head! Good assessment.
bwaahahahaha!! THANK you for posting. This is worth another round, many many rounds. Please re-post as much as possible on all pertinent threads.
LOL...and you imagine that you understand politics?
My pleasure!
Have a great week, mine really starts tomorrow with the elections in the NE.
Having good time with Carly posts/jokes.
She is not a joke out here in California after decimating jobs at HP and basically ruining a good company.
I hear Heidi just called Michelle to get the window measurements for new WH drapes (smirk).

what’s up with the gov of New Mexico? Hispanic Female and all the things the deems love. Maybe the Repubs would get a woman and hispanic to balance out the career criminal.
The Nasal and the Nattering. Combined with Hillary’s hectoring, I ask: why can’t American politicians speak in normal tones? There are voice teachers all over this country.
