Ted Cruzs presidential campaign is vetting Carly Fiorina as a potential running mate, THE WEEKLY STANDARD has learned.
According to a spokeswoman for Fiorina, the former Hewlett-Packard CEO and one-time presidential candidate is being vetted by Cruz's campaign.
"Normal stuff," said Sarah Isgur Flores, who served as deputy campaign manager during Fiorina's bid, when asked about the process. She added that Fiorina has met with members of the Cruz campaign and has given them financial disclosures and other documentation. Flores added that "no offers" have been made.
On ABC's This Week Sunday, reporter Jon Karl floated the idea that Cruz could announce a running mate before next week's critical Indiana primary and suggested Fiorina would be the "one person" to fill that role.
Fiorina endorsed Cruz in March, after her own campaign for president ended. She has made appearances on the behalf of the Texas senator and introduced him at a recent campaign stop in Maryland.
Republicans in Fiorina's home state of California will vote in their state's primary on June 7. Fiorina won the Republican Senate primary in California in 2010.

Pure desperation....
Cruz already gave Carly $500,000 WITHOUT first vetting her?
What kind of good judgement is that? Yikes!
The California employees of H-P despise this Snarly Creature.
I wonder how many California Cruz votes putting her on his “short list” will render?
>>Like two little kids playing house: Lets play VP! I have no chance on Earth, and Im dropping by the minute, but lets pretend!
LOL, very true and funny...no, not funny, pathetic.
I must be a rare woman because I hear about all the women supporting Fiorina, I just do not. I don’t really have a reason either- her attitude struck me so wrong I didn’t even look into her as a person I would support.
So is Kasich going to be Co-President? The disconnect is real with Cruz.
I was always under the impression you had to have a chance of winning before you hired someone or promised them a job.
Cougar Snarly protecting little ImporTED Scruz" from Canada.
Trump should start vetting General Petraeus. Or
General Jack Keane. That would give the media something to talk about for a few days.
My wife is a life-long republican, conservative to the bone and can’t stand Fiorina and that was before she made her mind up on Trump. She’s been in the tech industry for years and knows many people who used to work for her at HP. They all despised her. She’a a slave driver and the CEO position went straight to her head and she was and is, a stuck up snob.
High functioning, high performance winners like Ted Cruz just go with their gut sometimes. It’s perfectly reliable and it got him where he is today.
That’s really funny.
What got this loser to where he is today is nothing but slick lies and conniving. The man is pure evil, and quite the loser.
He could give Bill Clinton lessons on being Slick.
These things happened in order:
Get mathematically eliminated from winning
Send email asking for funds because he’s “on the verge of winning the nomination”
Begin vetting potential VP candidates
Maybe Cruz is a time-traveller and he’s just living in time out-of-order? Makes about as much sense as anything else he’s doing does.
Cuba, duh
Oh please, I’m female, I’d vote for Palin anytime, anywhere. Wouldn’t cross the street to vote for Carly.
That so fits, lol

re:”Shed probably lend some pro-business credibility to him and I think that would be a good thing. Also, if the Dems run Hillary, that way Hillary cant claim shes the only woman in the race. Personally, I dont think people care that much, but Hillary is going to make a big thing out of it.”
pro business ???
Carley negotiated a golden parachute then proceeded to destroy HP and stock holder value all while passing jobs held by Americans to ‘guest workers’ and off shore.
