Ted Cruzs presidential campaign is vetting Carly Fiorina as a potential running mate, THE WEEKLY STANDARD has learned.
According to a spokeswoman for Fiorina, the former Hewlett-Packard CEO and one-time presidential candidate is being vetted by Cruz's campaign.
"Normal stuff," said Sarah Isgur Flores, who served as deputy campaign manager during Fiorina's bid, when asked about the process. She added that Fiorina has met with members of the Cruz campaign and has given them financial disclosures and other documentation. Flores added that "no offers" have been made.
On ABC's This Week Sunday, reporter Jon Karl floated the idea that Cruz could announce a running mate before next week's critical Indiana primary and suggested Fiorina would be the "one person" to fill that role.
Fiorina endorsed Cruz in March, after her own campaign for president ended. She has made appearances on the behalf of the Texas senator and introduced him at a recent campaign stop in Maryland.
Republicans in Fiorina's home state of California will vote in their state's primary on June 7. Fiorina won the Republican Senate primary in California in 2010.

I liked cruz early on, but he is loosing it. Carly is a looser.
Ms. Horse-Face McAmnesty for VP? Of course.
As the campaign trudges on, Cruz becomes less and less in my eyes. Carly does not belong as anyone’s VP selection.
So when Cruz gets the tough questions, he can hide behind her skirt again?
It really is a waste of time though as Cruz is pretty much done, other than the Big Steal attempt.

One of Ted’s named mistresses
Rather interesting timing of $500K contribution by Ted PAC to Carly PAC back in June
Nothing like keeping his friends close and potential enemies closer
Lose = not win
Loose = not tight
Why would Ted Cruz need a VP running mate, unless he plans on running third party?
Why is Cruz doing Trump’s job? The nominee is the one who chooses the VP.
Why is it every woman in the history of U.S. politics that has ever been selected as a running mate by a major party candidate is always a total desperation move?
RE: Sarah Isgur Flores, One of Teds named mistresses
Yes, and we’ve had Katrina Pierson and Amanda Carpenter, both of whom denied it.
So, what does Sarah say today?
Any evidence at all?
Something tells me that by November Cruz will have a government in exile, maybe in Puerto Rico, where he can issue executive orders.
More pony tricks from the kitchen sink Cruz campaign— vetting anybody— ROTFLOLOL!!

Cruz is playing for a contested convention, and is assuming that Trump will not get the nod no matter what.
However, while the GOP will never let Trump in if they can help it, they like him just a little bit less than Cruz. If it goes to the second or third ballot, Cruz is out.
Hillary people would hate the hell out this combo as Carly would barnstorm the country appealing to women's groups and tear Hildabitch a new one--much more effectively than Sarah Palincould have done.
Keeps finding ways to alienate people.
