Things did not go well for Ted Cruz last night, but his performance in New York's 16th District was especially depressive...
Republican presidential hopeful Ted Cruz was so disliked in Westchester Countys 16th congressional district that residents cast more votes for Ben Carson - who is no longer running...
Carson, who bowed out of the GOP race in March, was still featured on Tuesdays ballot as his request to be removed was made after the deadline had passed.
Roughly translated...You Get Nothing!
One final thing...
CRUZ HAS $9 MILLION IN BANK AS OF END-MARCH: CAMPAIGN MANAGER tick tock...
I read somewhere that Soros gave him money.
Yup. I too was surprised to see Carson on the ballot and to see Cruz listed 4th.
I wonder what determined the order?
Perhaps it was that "insider" pull that got Cruz listed fourth.
Cruz was well supplied early on. It was big-time donors.
That was the PACs. Apples and oranges.
NY Times:
More than 95% of the total contributions to super PACs supporting Ted Cruz came from donations of $1 million or more, more than any other candidate.
Yup ... real grassroots
I think you're missing the point. It was just one district, so didn't affect the delegate count at all. But Carson's campaign is suspended. To lose to a guy anywhere whose campaign is suspended is, well, just not good. At all.
I understand PACs. That’s where these mega donors pay for their dirty work.
Cruz's big super PAC donors were conservatives.
The totals have been revised, and Cruz now has 10% to Carson’s 1% in that district.
By THE NEW YORK TIMES UPDATED APRIL 5, 2016
Ted Cruz has spent 114 million for 559 delegates/$204,000 per delegate
Donald Trump has spent 35 million for 845 delegates/$29,500 per delegate
Sweet.
“The average donation to my link is $233.18. Sounds pretty grassroots to me.”
To be fair I believe that is in Canadian dollars, and does not reflect the Cuban peso donations.....
That ended up being a typo. The Westchster County Board of Elections got it wrong. It would have been funny if those numbers held.
“No, in one congressional district. Barely.”
Teddy Barely lost.
(Sorry, couldn’t help it)
Don’t quit your day job.
Haha, I figured you would appreciate that.
