Following his win in Tuesday’s New York State Republican presidential primary, party front-runner Donald Trump addressed his supporters declared that it wasn’t much of a race anymore between he and opponent Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and that he was glad to have won delegates “with the votes.”

During any other election year, the remaining states would have been given to the front runner on a silver platter.

The GOP may dislike Trump but they positively detest Cruz. They will make a deal with Trump and hope for the best.

It is the only reasonable choice unless one is working for Hillary Clinton to be President.

While the NY VOTE was on going, "Senator Cruz" was in PA, trying to garner delegates and his mouthpiece even said he could get the most delegates, even if he comes in LAST place during the up coming VOTE.

"Please clap"

Your classification of Trump is all wrong. We have a FIGHTER at the top of the ticket. And he’s his own man. He took on everyone.... and I mean everyone. And he’s still standing.

Ouch! That's gonna leave a mark.

This is the delegate count after the New York Primary.

Notice the burgundy text on the far right, on the Cruz line?

Tead has been numerically eliminated from getting 1237 delegates prior to the convention.

Trump has the only viable chance, and after the New England states he will have over 50% of the delegates to that point.

That is an amazing feat considering he was up against 16 other men in the race.

Trump is likely to get the 1237 delegates pre convention.

After next Tuesday he will need less percentage in the future delegate capture, than he has gotten to that point.

Quite an accomplishment...

There is enough of a race that Trump does not need to lose focus. 1237 baby, don’t let up until you it in hand!

Don't let up until you've won every delegate you can, past 1237.

Cruz and the GOP-E (but I repeat myself) will try to turn delegates that Trump has won.

Way to go Trumpkins. You own this mess.

If the convention awards the nomination to a GOPE designated loser, then Cruz owns it, 100%

If Trump gets the nomination and loses to Hillary, then Trump supporters will eat crow.

If November sees President Trump...

NOT REALLY!

The sad reality is that Sen. Cruz HURT HIMSELF with what he said FIRST about New York and New Yorkers which the later had seen as OFFENSIVE.

Second, the what took place out in both CO and WY, which pretty much DENIED those primary voters the VOTE.

Third, getting involved with CRAZY Glen Beck. Should NEVER gotten involed at all, PERIOD.

In other words, Cruz would be DEFEATED in the general come this November.

Trump learning to shut his trap. Every time he builds momentum he sends out a tweet or says something stupid...and thus resets the Primary. He hasn’t done that in over 2 weeks, and it showed last night. He should coast to the nomination by just holding to this alone.

Agreed. I had intended to write an editorial urging him to STFU and coast to a win, but it appears unnecessary now.

No, because pretty much the northeast is going to become one big Trump lake.

This isn’t a internet campaign HQ for a failed Presidential bid. The ZOT hammer will come out. That is my prediction and hope.

Ok, big fella, if you're going to pound your chest and talk about Zotting people for merely disagreeing with you, the Big Man deserves to be pinged.

Go for it. I would never tell Jim Robinson what to do. It isn’t my call but if the Cruzaders continue to disrupt then somethings got to give. I am just predicting what I think the out come will be. At this point Cruzaders are acting like crazy monkeys flinging their feces around.

Is this the typical repartee of a Trumpeteer? C'mon, people speak up and show your solidarity with this bastion of Trump-speak.

Except making those like you “feel better”.

Not people like me. It is a horrible thing to have to tell your employees that they might not be allowed to come to work tomorrow. Or to have to plan to keep your workplace running, with only a dozen "essential employees" still allowed to work.

That is one reason I do not like career politicians. They put themselves up on pedestals, and, like the feudal lords of the middle ages, have absolutely no empathy or understanding for the "little people", even those who work for them. Cruz is as detached as they come, with regard to how his antics affect people's lives.

But, on the bright side, the NY election pretty much put Cruz out of the running! Even though he does not (yet?) have the grace to bow out, he cannot possibly win. Thank goodness!
