All states Republicans will lose in the general election, but will be good for Trump to pick up a lot of delegates, may even put him over in California. Be nice if some of those states will be in play in the general election.

The Cruz victory in Colorado is proving to be a terrible defeat for Cruz.

Looks good for Trump. In Pennsylvania I’ve read from many sources that the majority of delegates go to the convention unbound even on first ballot regardless of who wins the votes. If true, voting there seems like an exercise in futility.

Ted’s dirty establishment-backed tricks have backfired.

This election was about the voters being angry with the GOPe for stabbing us in the back for decades. That’s why Trump and Cruz won, while Rubio and Jeb failed.

Cruz siding with the establishment rules and getting backed by the RINOs could only hurt.

Add to that, him overturning the will of the voters - much like activist judges have done for decades - has an already angry electorate taking notice.

For one so smart, dumb move, just dumb.

if Cruz wasn’t from Texas Trump would have beaten him badly there.. take Texas out of the picture and Trump killed Cruz in every major state in the union.. and every state on the east coast other than Maine... and took the whole south.. not even close.. if it was a little league game the mercy rule would have been called

This is called blowback.

The clueless don’t get that it’s these very dirty tricks and this very rigged system that people are rebelling against, and doing more of it just makes more converts to the rebellion and makes its current members all the more resolute and certain that it’s the #1 problem that needs to be solved.

Cruz will look back at his BIG victories in Colorado and Wyoming as Pyrrhic victories won at such a cost they are actually defeats.

Nobody wrote off Donald Trump except the RNC propaganda machine (via Ted Cruz) who have tried to dampen enthusiasm by rigging non-voting elections. Didn’t work. Never could.

I agree. California primary is still about 7 weeks away. A lot depends on how the upcoming races go. If Trump is blowing it out and piling up delegates in the meantime, then the "go with the winner" effect is in full play.

If Cruz manages to keep things close, then we have a different ballgame.

Interestingly, this will be the first time in decades that a California primary will have an impact on the nomination. Usually the nomination is decided well before California. This year, California will very likely have the ability to put Trump over the 1237 he needs. If Trump comes into California after a string of strong performances, I think California will come through for him and put him over the top.

After NY, Cruz will be mathematically eliminated. He won’t be able to make a case that voting for him will be good for anyone. Voting for Cruz is a vote for chaos and Hillary.

"For whatever reason, every recent poll is breaking very hard in Trump’s favor."

By proudly proclaiming victory in voterless delegate awards, Cruz has inextricably and permanently associated himself with the Party Establishment.

He'll never be able to wash that stink off, and the polls are showing it.
