	Those who had written off Donald Trump need to reconsider things in light of recent polls in five states. Trump has soared in the latest polls in California, New York, Connecticut, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. In no recent polls of upcoming state primaries did Trump lose ground. State by state, lets take a look. California In  the latest poll by YouGov, Trumps margin soared to 28 percentage points over Cruz, up from 9-10 percentage point in the two preceding polls. This was barely enough to tip the state to Trump’s category from Cruz in Silver’s Secret Sauce methodology, but in Polls only things are looking might good for Trump. All states Republicans will lose in the general election, but will be good for Trump to pick up a lot of delegates, may even put him over in California. Be nice if some of those states will be in play in the general election.

Looks good for Trump. In Pennsylvania I’ve read from many sources that the majority of delegates go to the convention unbound even on first ballot regardless of who wins the votes. If true, voting there seems like an exercise in futility.

This election was about the voters being angry with the GOPe for stabbing us in the back for decades. That’s why Trump and Cruz won, while Rubio and Jeb failed.

Cruz siding with the establishment rules and getting backed by the RINOs could only hurt.

Add to that, him overturning the will of the voters - much like activist judges have done for decades - has an already angry electorate taking notice.

For one so smart, dumb move, just dumb.

IMHO, Trump is in contention to win NY and CT (perhaps NJ as well) in the general. Just speaking from anecdotal evidence of my interactions with others who live in the NYC metropolitan area.

Nationally, this race has taken a dramatic turn in the past two weeks.

Like you, I think Colorado is the reason. Trump rightly viewed that situation as one the American people would turn their noses up at, and he was right.

I don't think the race will turn back again. A solid trouncing in New York tomorrow, big wins in other Eastern states, rising poll numbers in California... it's over.

I think it's over with pledged delegates before the Convention, and for sure it's over on the first ballot anyway. Manafort is closing the deal with uncommitted delegates daily.

Nobody wrote off Donald Trump except the RNC propaganda machine (via Ted Cruz) who have tried to dampen enthusiasm by rigging non-voting elections. Didn’t work. Never could.

NY, CT and NJ, I seriously doubt because they are terminally stupid. PA, OTOH, is a big possibility and if Trump wins here, it is over.

Ted Cruz is doing Trump a big favor by soldiering on until the end of the primary season. He is the only viable Trump alternative and, as such, is sucking all the oxygen out of the room for any other. He will get around to endorsing Trump when the timing is right.
