Hillary Clinton claimed surprising ignorance of a bill she should be intimately acquainted with as a former secretary of state and New York senator.
ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos brought up the legislation introduced by Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer, which would allow 9/11 victims to sue state sponsors of terror for the attack that took nearly 3,000 lives in 2001.
"Your senior senator here in New York, Chuck Schumer has sponsored a bill backed by the 9/11 families that would give them the right to sue state sponsors of terror in federal court," he said Sunday on "This Week." "Now, it's opposed by the Obama administration. They say it's going to expose the US and its officials to retaliation. So who's right here, Senator Schumer or President Obama?
That's when Clinton, who served as a senator representing New York when the 9/11 attack occurred and is now running for the Democratic presidential nominee, pleaded ignorance.
"I dont really know about that, George," she claimed. "I'll have to look into it.

Exactly. I’d rather have the Saudis clearly be our enemy, then their continuing their charade that they’re our friends.
Wonder if the media will ding her for it?
At least SOME certainly will! maybe more will than expected.
They can’t sell them if there are no buyers.

Hillary loves that Saudi money..cha ching!
EVERYONE in DC loves that Saudi money. It’s more addicting than heroin.
That library looks like a big white trash trailer!
I believe that the Saudis used to have a much greater influence on our markets. I don’t believe as much so anymore. We need to be slowly cutting our ties with them. If they want us protecting them, they need to start paying.

He asks Clinton if she supports a law that would allowing the victims to file lawsuits against states who sponsor terrorism?
She don’t know?
She has to look into this?
Good grief.

Corrupt and incompetent
That alone should make the entire country recoil in disgust.
“Frankly, Stephy, I feel strongly both ways.”
They’ll be buyers alright...just not at the prices Ma Yellen was hoping for.
That's an interesting bill. Does that mean that Brian Terry's family and the families of over 300 dead Mexicans can sue the U.S. over Fast and Furious?
Well why not? This was total complete reckless loser leadership at it’s best. This was planned and organized. They sent firearms into the black hole of Mexico and didn’t expect chaotic murder and mayhem?
Better yet, lets make some changes and also hold those directly responsible for this organized recklessness to be tried civilly and possibly criminally. Why reward those in government? They would do it to us.
Btw, was anyone in government ever held responsible for anything?
The list would be short and the offenses not very impressive I suspect.
F&F is only the tip of the iceberg. I think a good case for State Sponsored Terrorism can be made. To my disgust.
