Breaking: Ted Cruz makes outrageous statement on voterless election win in Wyoming

Ted Cruz on Wyoming win: "This is how elections are won in America."

Once again, voters are not represented in the process. Instead, "votes" for the nominee are gained by backroom politics. Another corrupt process by the GOP establishment.

From Fox News:

Ted Cruz on Saturday won all 14 delegates in the Wyoming GOP convention -- a relatively small number but enough for the Texas senator to declare victory and keep GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump from securing the nomination.

“We are likely to have a battle in Cleveland to decide who is the nominee,” Cruz told party members before they picked the delegates. “If you don’t want to see Donald Trump as the nominee, … then I ask you to please vote for the men and women on this slate.”

The Wyoming process mirrored that of Colorado, which was engulfed by political controversy after hosting a similar convention last week.

-- John Luc Ponty was on tour with Weather Report, Stanley Clark was there too. Weather Report opened the show and later John Luc joined Dweezil's band on stage for a few songs. --

That must have been an awesome show. What venue?

I;m here in FL and you probably don’t trust me , but he cruz will never win this state of FL.
Not having a dig and respect you replied in a mature manner, but cruz really screwed up with his NY comment as south FL is like NY NJ and up here where are many more southern people are just angry at the party.

People have had enough and whether you or I like it the fact is that people see what is going on with delegates being “influenced” and how cruz is not appealing to them.

The establishment can’t keep thinking we hate Clinton so much we will always vote for who they want. That time has gone.

People are made at immigration which is a big issue here, people are angry at jobs being taken overseas.
It is the two biggest concerns I have seen from people around here.

“...the hard boring work in the trenches.”

I'm not so sure how hard it is. But it does need to get done. I got two emails and a phone call from Cruz volunteers to go to my precinct caucus. Then later reminded me that I was elected as a delegate to my district caucus.

I am guessing that ground game of emails and calls was why of three people I know from three different districts (Washington State) it was 90%+ Cruz delegates in all three districts that will be going to our state Convention. My daughter and I (first time at this type of thing) are going to the State convention in May. It will be interesting.

You also just described the general e l section. You don't think the sparse amount of people in Wyoming don't feel disenfranchised by the large number of electoral college voters in New York and California ?
It is simply our system.
Anyone smart enough and trying to win will understand the systemand try to win. Trump simply felt the small number of delegates in Wyoming weren't worth leaving his fight for delegates in New York for. Cruz did. It's a numbers game, and those were too small for Trump to care about. He is correct.
But for him to act like he is then shocked and angered by the loss is mere catering to the anger of his supporters. Once again smart of Trump. But also hypocritical.

I think many are seeing what’s happening in WY and CO and are disgusted that the Republican party endorses/condones this kind of selection process. Without knowing the specifics of each state, everyone would assume it’d be some kind of vote or caucus. When they find out that’s not the case - that the delegates in some states are selected without the Republican voters in that state having a say - they get pissed off.

The fact that these processes exist at all is the problem.

you nailed it. all of it.

>>>>Cruz’s success in these crooked processes has nothing whatsoever to do with a superior “ground game” or anything of the sort. He’s simply the only alternative to Donald Trump for the party apparatchiks.<<<<

exactly.

When Cruz LOST in NH and throughout the SOUTH where WE actually VOTED, I knew TRUMP WAS THE WINNER and CRUZ WAS THE LOSER, and CRUZ realized that fact, too.

He’s now staying in to try to win via “delegate shenanigans,” but primarily to stop Trump.

Cruz has lost an irretrievable amount of good will within his own party.

This is how a sociopath sees himself as a victor
By outsmarting everyone
Not by team work, not by inspiring or persuading or befriending, not even by caring much for anything

except the ends

What difference does it make how long the rules were in place? Lets say the rules were in place for 853 years.. does that make them better rules?

Very Wrong about CO & WY.

Constitution forbids a private criminal organization, RNC, with interfering with a Federal election.

What part about injustice do folks not understand?

Remember when Jeb Bush at 3% support smirked & smiled over who would win the election? Y’all been had.
