When I was a kid, going on vacations with my parents, we loved reading all the Burma Shave signs. Brings back memories.

It made me chuckle. No insult to Cruz supporters.
I thought the skit was humorous. Donald came across as funny and it actually made Ted a teensy likeable.

On a side note has anyone been watching the old Johnny Carson show on Antenna TV? I have to say when I was young I somehow missed just how overtly liberal he was on the show. I have seen several now, where in his monologue he took shots at Reagan and fell flat with the audience that didn't share his condescending liberal view. This is why I no longer watch any of these late night shows, all they do is preach to the choir of a congregation I don't belong to, plus they're lame.
The biggest sign of this is when they get on here and repeat or defend the really dumb things he says.
Like when Trump said he would pay off the entire national debt in eight years.
Or just repeating his low class personal insults.
Like programmed robots.

I voted for Cruz in the primary and I would do it again but if Trump gets the nomination, he has my vote.
I saw Jimmy Fallon last night and the skit was funny. It’s comedy and laughing is good for us. I would laugh at Cruz if it had been the other way.
I have no problems with the skit or Jimmy Fallon for doing it. I just had a problem with the poster being uncivil and insulting to others on this board.
That was a contention that some people who arent Cruz have treated other people in a fashion you don’t like. But I asked if you have evidence that Cruz issued fatwahs - do you have any?
Was Trump in that skit?
None the less, Ted is absolved in what passes for your mind.

It’s insults like that - not just disagreements, but insults - that will tear the conservative movement apart.
Some on both sides — Trump and Cruz — are acting like uncivil democrats. I don’t see much of anything constructive coming from it.
If I'm up late at night and can't sleep (not uncommon), I'll watch a DVD of the old Hee-Haw show. Loved it back then, love it now.
And for those who are like-minded, Time-Life has just issued a large collection of the show. It's pricey, but I'm thinking of picking it up.

I watch the old game show network, they run What's My Line, To Tell The Truth and I've Got A Secret, among others. It's nice to take a trip back to civility, maybe a bit of innocence and to hear people say extraordinary things(by today's standards) like goodnight and God Bless! Lord how I miss Red Skelton!

But I would not celebrate too prematurely. No. 1, I don’t believe Trump will be the candidate. No. 2, I believe that if by some chance he is, that before the end of his first term, folks like you will be denying him just as surely as Peter denied Christ....if the republic still stands that is.
The funny thing is... Trump probably though it was funny as well. He has quite the sense of humor, and easily laughs at his own caricature.
