West Long Branch, NJ Donald Trumps sizable lead in Marylands GOP primary puts him on track to claim all 38 delegates available. The Monmouth University Poll finds that concerns about Trumps suitability for office expressed by the states Republican governor hold little sway with voters there.
Currently, 47% of likely Republican primary voters in Maryland support Trump compared to 27% who support John Kasich and 19% who intend to vote for Ted Cruz. Trumps strongest area of support is in congressional districts 1 and 5, the eastern part of the state bordering the Chesapeake Bay, where he earns 54% support to 24% for Kasich and 11% for Cruz. Trump also does well in districts 6 and 8, which encompass the western part of the state, with 44% of the vote to 25% for Kasich and 23% for Cruz. Trump leads by a smaller margin in the states remaining four congressional districts that run along the I-95 corridor from Baltimore to the DC suburbs, getting 43% of the vote there to 31% for Kasich and 20% for Cruz.
If Trumps current level of support translates to each of Marylands eight congressional districts, he may be able to run the table in the all-important delegate contest, said Patrick Murray, director of the independent Monmouth University Polling Institute.
Trump holds a large advantage among very conservative voters (58% to 27% for Cruz and 9% for Kasich), but a much smaller edge among somewhat conservative voters (38% to 33% for Kasich and 21% for Cruz). He splits the moderate vote with Kasich at 41% apiece, while Cruz gets 10%.

Don’t get all excited Trumpettes...Maryland doesn’t ever vote conservative.
Ted does well when his Cruz crazies get in the other caucus goers faces and the ballots are no secret.
He does not do well in a regular election which spells doom for him if he were ever to become the nominee.
The violence in Cleveland will be coming from the Cruz supporters, not the Trump supporters.
Forget that, he’s Moses - ya know - according to the guy who can’t figure out that Joseph Smith was a complete and total fraud and “god” doesn’t live on a planet near the star Kolob (wherever that is).
Yes, though, GB, the country is near the end of what it once was - that part you have correct - going “big-tent” GOPe - you don’t understand why we got to this point.
Begs the question:
Has anyone in the MSM asked Mr. Cruz why in tarnation he does well in these concocted corrupt caucuses yet fails big when the voters are involved?
Victory and Vengeance
Apologies to Ben here;
He can win'em but can he keep'em?
Waiting until....

Maryland “Freak State” PING!
Ted isn’t a middle America candidate. He’s a GOPE club candidate in the rocky mountains secret meetings.
If Kasich wins an upset in MD, he will proclaim himself the de facto nominee! Remember how Newton Gingrich tried to ride SC and GA to the nomination in 2012 though I don’t recall him winning anything else.
Even Agnew ran as a liberal Republican in MD in 1966; he’s one of the few liberals who turned conservative once in office as VP, but he was a bribe-taker.
I checked, and Newton G. won nothing else in 2012 but SC and GA.
it is likely a 6 state sweep for Trump in April.
boring here in CT.
Bernie is running commie tv ads on local stations.
BTTT!
The trumpers are insufferable when he wins.
But on the other hand they’re insufferable when he loses too.
He sounds like Dale Gribble on one of his alien abduction rants.
The MD For Trump FB page reports that GOPe “operatives” are stealing Trump signs.
Elizabeth Keene is dead. Very sad.
