Does Donald Trump think he's going to lose the nomination at the convention? Are his current complaints about RNC "dirty tricks," the system being "rigged," etc. a preview of the explanation he'll be offering when he does indeed lose? Yes, and yes, if you buy what former senior Cruz aide Rick Tyler said on today's Morning Joe.
After the show rolled video of Trump's attacks on the RNC, Joe Scarborough said that the Donald had hit the "sweet spot." Scarborough again made the case for Trump, saying "no, that's the speech of somebody that can win 49 states and would be enraged he lost the 50th." But Tyler pushed back, saying "that's not the speech of a winner. That's the speech of someone who believes he's losing . . . He actually believes now he's going to lose this nomination at the convention on the second ballot."

at least people got to vote for Gore
Cruz will also lose the nomination at the convention, but he’s a member of the club now so it’s all good.
it is there way of saying Trump is dropping out, I mean they have tried to before on two others.
Interesting times.
What a waste of time we have things to look at and fix in this country!
Total irrelevance is top priority today.
I see it around me too.
I agree the Republican party “as was” is gone.
We’ll basically have three parties: A right-wing xenophobic party, a left wing socialist party, and a centrist coalition party that will actually have to run the country that exists in the real world, and will be blamed for every problem that occurs. The end result will be that eventually the centrist party will be destroyed by a recession or exogenous event they take the blame for, and one of the two fringe parties will take over and the USA will effectively end.
Trump: “I Think I’ll Get To 1,237” (Headline from another post.)
OK, now I’m lost.
(Headline from another post.)
You can’t lose what you never had.
At this point, after all the dirty tricks, delegates being paid off and the vote manipulations by cancelling a caucus, the Grand Ole Party is no more. If Trump doesn’t win the nomination, the RNC has burnt all the bridges. They will lose the House, Senate and Presidency. They will not recover from this fiasco for decades, if ever.
Ridiculously stupid stupid, stupid!
Popular vote means crap
Fidel Castro agrees with you...
And Mr. Levin intentionally confuses the delegate nomination selection process with the Electoral College - just so he could float that ridiculous President Algore comment.
Sanders and Trump would outpoll Cruz and Hillary in a four way race. The only question (imo) is who would do worse, Cruz or Clinton
“But, yes, the fix is in.”
But he can’t fix the fix?
So all the people who said they supported Trump because he would burn down the Republican party and destroy it, they are blameless in this. And Trump himself whose vicious attacks on every senior figure in the party including ex presidents bears no responsibility. The only ones you hold accountable are the one who, completely within the process that exists, are going to stop this total asshole from getting the nomination.
You know, the nice fella who likes to slander conservatives as members of the Gestapo.
Guido the Golden Goodfella.
heh.
Jedi.
Pssssst....hey pal...psssst....pal....need delegates?
“at least people got to vote for Gore”
Can’t blame incompetency and lack of organization on others. I thought Trump’s whole argument was that he was so competent that we would be sick of competency with him as the President. Well, first win the primary delegates, then worry about the electoral college.
The delegate fight has just begun. Cruz is locked and loaded with talent, competency, and organizational skill — just what we need in a President. Trump is full of whine and entitled mentality. A delegate welfare queen?
Trump walks in to Cleveland with the required # and all this hand wringing is long forgotten. There will be much cheese served with the whining.
otherwise there would be President Algore.
Except that the popular vote that you think means crap determined what those who elect the president did...the electors of the Electoral College representing the popular vote of the individual states of the Union...
LOL....good one T/M.
You are correct.
I’ve believed for many months that Trump would NOT be the GOP nominee. By hook or by crook, I see no way that the Republican party will allow him to be its candidate for President.
