The trial balloon turned to lead and crashed.
The very fact that he is giving this much-publicized speech at a “secret” meeting (don’t make me laugh) at the trendiest hotel in NYC means, “Look at me, folks. Some of you may not have heard of me, but now you have.” It’s part of the commercial.
Same speech he gave when he didn’t want to be speaker?
He is being Lawyer Truthful, he is not ‘running’, he is being groomed for being ‘Selected’.
I think he honestly doesn’t want it. This has been an extremely ugly campaign, thanks mainly to Trump, and I think Ryan would be insane to get involved in it. If he wants to run for president, he can probably do so next time around.
Then lets see him delist his name from the PAC Elect Paul Ryan which was filed with the FEC last January.

Rush Limbaugh even recently said Jeb could emerge as the STOP TRUMP candidate at a brokered GOP convention if the New York Billionaire falls short on the first ballot. “I’m here to tell you Jeb Bush is gonna be the nominee,” Limbaugh warned, according to a transcript of his radio show. “That’s what they’re gonna do. That’s what they’ve always wanted.”
Limbaugh recalled Bush remarking in December 2014 that his strategy was to win the nomination despite losing primaries – something he planned to do by outspending his opponents. Limbaugh added that Bush, who left race in February, would escape the primary without having to talk about abortion, immigration or anything else that matters to Tea Party voters.
“He’s gonna win the nomination nevertheless,” Limbaugh said. “And it may well yet happen.”
In fact, the Bush Family has vowed revenge on businessman Donald Trump for driving Jeb Bush, the anointed one, from the Presidential race. The New York Daily News also reported that former First Lady Barbara Bush, a bitter Trump critic, is a major proponent of the stop-Trump movement. ‘Rule or Ruin” is their goal for the GOP According the New York Daily News the vanquished Jeb Bush is trying to figure out how to transfer $30 million in left over SuperPAC funds to the STOP TRUMP effort.
Meanwhile, Neil Bush, disgraced son of President George H. W. Bush, who defrauded U.S. taxpayers out of $1.5 billion dollars in a savings and loan scam, and not a day in jail and later peddled influence for the Chinese government, (who plied him with Chinese prostitutes) has formally endorsed Senator Ted Cruz for president. You can’t make this stuff up.
Neil will head Cruz’s Finance Committee. The Bush’s have no shame in their exploiting old school tie connections, privilege, elitism, ambition, the Saudis, the CIA, Assassination, greed and policies that have destroyed our economy and left us humiliated abroad.
I wonder how many postcards Ryan received last week. (No Trump, No Vote postcards.)

I hope he sticks to this and is not just waiting for the GOP leadership to beg him, then reluctantly agree to accept the nomination.
