“Please don’t throw me in the Briarpatch!”
I ‘ruled out’ Paul Ryan a few months ago when he blamed the TEA Party members for something or other.
Kabuki theater.
Paul Ryno will be the GOPe nominee.
He also said he did not want to be Speaker....
Does anyone believe anything he says?
Just laying the false groundwork that people WANT him as an alternative so that he can later claim “my supporters WANT me to do this!”
Horseshit.
It’s a trick.
I said he wouldn’t run.
Who needs to give a speech saying he is not a presidential candidate in April after never campaigning, never entering a primary and never asking to be considered as president?
The very fact that Ryan needs to give such a speech means that some very powerful people in the media and the Republican Party want him to be the party nominee for president.
I do not know who the Republican nominee will be. But it appears that if there is a brokered convention Paul Ryan will have some very powerful supporters.
“I’m honored and privileged, humbled and taken aback, lucky and popular, handsome and in demand, decent and kind, tall and humble (oh. I said that). I know the world would like me to be their leader. To guide them and care for them. To lead in my usual humble way. But at this moment...no.”
Didn’t he give the same speech ruling out taking the speakers job.
Will he at least change some of the words.
When he and Romney pull their FEC filing, then I will believe this.
Yeah....riiiiight! He is lying. You can tell....he is breathing. No more GOP!
You cannot believe a word these reprobates say. NONE.
For the GOPe to put up Ryan would cost them more votes and support than they could imagine. It would be their end and they know it.
Jeb Bush it is then!
Seriously, Ryan probably didn’t want to go down in the history books as “the man who destroyed the Republican Party.”
He’s leaving that honour to Ted Cruz.
He’s already ruled it out repeatedly. I think he knows that the only way anyone other than Trump Cruz or Kasich gets it is if they all drop dead before the convention. He may be positioning himself for 2020 though. I think a lot of folks may be doing that. And the sad implication of that is that they apparently think the winner in November will be Hillary inasmuch as it suggests they don’t expect a GOP incumbent in 2020.
I'm dusting off my Yeb! buttons.
Ditch the GOPe's princeling, Paul Ryan.
There is an alternative.
Ryan wants to be seen as the White Knight who saves the gope by slaying the evil Trumpasaurus that has been stomping thru their playground.
You can bet that he has his papers already to go at a moments notice.
He said he didn’t want to be Speaker of the House, guess what, he lied then, and he’s lying now.
I'm ruling out nothing at this point.
