Conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly has been a national leader of the conservative movement since the publication of her best-selling 1964 book, A Choice Not An Echo. She has been a leader of the pro-family movement since 1972 when she led the fight to defeat the Equal Rights Amendment.
Phyllis Schlafly is 91 years-old.
On March 11, 2016 conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly endorsed Donald Trump for President at his St. Louis rally.
But not everyone in her organization, Eagle Forum – or her family – agreed with Phyllis Schlafly’s decision.
Last week Phyllis Schlafly released several board members for disloyalty to the organization. The group was planning to hold rogue board meeting to take over the Eagle Forum.
Today the rogue Cruz supporters attempted a coup.
They held a non-sanctioned meeting and blocked Phyllis Schlafly from their conference call.
This email was sent out Monday afternoon.
St. Louis, Missouri:
“At 2pm today, 6 directors of Eagle Forum met in an improper, unprecedented telephone meeting. I objected to the meeting and at 2:11pm, I was muted from the call. The meeting was invalid under the Bylaws but the attendees purported to pass several motions to wrest control of the organization from me. They are attempting to seize access to our bank accounts, to terminate employees, and to install members of their own Gang of 6 to control the bank accounts and all of Eagle Forum.
“The members of their group are: Eunie Smith of Alabama, Anne Cori of Missouri, Cathie Adams of Texas, Rosina Kovar of Colorado, Shirley Curry of Tennessee, and Carolyn McLarty of Oklahoma.
“This kind of conduct will not stand and I will fight for Eagle Forum and I ask all men and women of good will to join me in this fight.”

It would seem that this is a completely internal family and Eagle Forum fight. Trump's fault.
“I am not sure I have,” Trump said when asked if he’d ever asked God for forgiveness. “I just go on and try to do a better job from there. I don’t think so,” he said. “I think if I do something wrong, I think, I just try and make it right. I don’t bring God into that picture. I don’t.”
A man who will not bow down to God and ask for forgiveness is someone I will not follow.

I have publicly stated that my vote will go to only Cruz or Trump, and I'm back to wavering on Trump. Should anyone else be nominated, I'll go third party. When I called in to a local show last week, the inevitable question came up regarding ceding the election to Hillary.
My answer: under that scenario (no Trump or Cruz), it's no longer my problem. The host (John David Wells) said, "wow...excellent answer."

I will still vote for Cruz if he is the nominee and Trump is out...so I guess that not only makes me a "Cruzer", but also a past "rabid RomneyBot".

Our Oregon Republican League on FB in Oregon are full of nasty Cruz supporters. They all act like democrats. It is just amazing how mean and crazy Cruz supporters are. We could never have a civilize conversation or debate.
Cruz is just doing his masters’ bidding. He is dutifully carrying the water for the Establishment. I don’t know what he has been promised, if anything (Supreme Court Justice?); but the bought and paid for Cruz is paving the way for the Player To Be Named Later (PTBNL) at the convention.
Wonder how these people can sleep at night or look in the mirror.

This is exactly how Cruz people will try to conduct the convention. THEY will pull this at the convention to block out Trump people and try to say Trump is just not organized. THUGS ALL OF THEM!
If we don’t have the Bikers and Truckers there to make sure we get into the convention we are toast!

I was just told that cruz is not with the establishment. You can’t even make any of this up anymore at how stupid or obsessed some of these cruz supporters are.
At least up here, you can’t set up a non-profit that leaves the founder completely in control—the board is where the buck stops, and the founder can’t exercise formal control over the board.
Is Coulter actually a non-profit?
I am hoping that whoever is best between Cruz and Trump gets elected, but I don’t think that either of them is the messiah, and both have flaws.
I’d be worried about Islamic takeover just about everywhere, but Islamic world outlook and coping with cold tend to be not very compatible. They are certainly visible in larger Canadian cities, but in the end, nothing beats the Canadian climate.
Ted Cruz is not a constitutional-conservative. Were Cruz really a constitutional-conservativehe would not be running for president. There is no way in he[[ that the son of a Cuban born in Canada is a natural born citizen of the United States under original intent.
There is no way a constitutional-conservative would have voted for the Corker amendment.
There is no way a constitutional-conservative would have voted to reauthorize the Patriot Act.
There is no way a constitutional-conservative would have voted for the TPP enabling TPA.
Ted Cruz is also a liar, conservatives used to not like lairs.
On the important issues immigration, trade and security Trump is the most conservative candidate running.

Just as I said, sick of the self-righteous down-talking from some FReepers about how Obama is the fault of those who see the lesser of two evils (McCain / Romney / Ryan / Kasich) as still evil; and not the fault of the establishment types who allowed us no viable option.

Hillary can’t win, PERIOD. Trump will CRUSH her. You will see when it happens. That part of the campaign hasn’t even started yet and you claim it is lost. You declare the winner before the firing of the starting pistol.
Get on board or get out of the way. The Trump train is well on it’s way to the convention station. The Cruz train has derailed, and the Clinton train is in the roundhouse.
