Well, Lyin' Ted is a hypocrite. I'm just shocked.

Who would have guessed?

Sad.

I think the last time AC had a Town Hall with Trump was just before South Carolina, or maybe it was Super Tuesday.

It was right after it ended when Ted's former mistress, Amanda Carpenter, and Bush-crony Ana Navarro had COMPLETE meltdowns live on air.

It was AWESOME!

I thought David Gergen was going to have to turn the hose on them.

I have never cooked with soy crumbles. If the rice/soy mix doesn’t kinda stick together before you put it in the cabbage leaf, you could add an egg to the mix (my mom didn’t do that, but I think one of my aunt’s did).

Forgot to add pepper (use in almost everything!) and, I think last time I made it, I added parsley to the tomato mix. I normally don’t add salt as I rarely use it and canned tomatoes usually have sodium. That said, now that you mention it, I think I do add a bit to the meat mix.
I usually add about a teaspoon of sugar to the tomatoes (normally add a little sugar and often a bit of basil for tomato-based things I make).

I’m kinda like the mad scientist in the kitchen sometimes - just add whatever seems good.

I don’t think there is any right or wrong - add what sounds good to you :-)

Now I’m getting hungry!

You’re very welcome, Jane. You both may be able to use your new pots for these.

That pot sounds so intriguing! I’m watching my pennies right now as I’m job searching (lots of skills and experience - didn’t think it would be this hard), but, will definitely look at getting one down the road. I was thinking this would be a great gift for my sister. She uses her crock pot for various things (chili, etc.) but this is so much better and does so much more!

Thanks. Looks good.

Hubby's mother used to make these. I think in the 35 years we've been married I made them once.

Get with it lysie. Make them soon.

I remember seeing that Town Hall - just don’t remember exactly when it was but I thought it was pretty good.

Oh, whenever Amanda C or Ana N come on, I can’t get to the remote fast enough. I started watching thinking there was going to be a nice discussion (realizing that it wouldn’t be in DJT’s favor and lean more left) but Holy Moley!

I like your style - maybe David G should have turned a hose on them (a big one!) - LOL!

I remember being appalled, and then I thought it was hysterical.

I remember now! It was the night before South Carolina. Because after the fact, I realized that Navarro was a Bush fundraiser, and I connected that to how Trump has destroyed Low-Energy Jeb, and had probably cost Navarro $$MILLIONS$$ by knocking him out of the race.

And South Carolina was supposed to be the beginning of Lyin' Ted's sweep of the South, so of course his mistress would be upset about that.

They had clearly gotten a look at the final polls.

Rush came on radio when I left a business Everyone should listen to today’s transcript. He really took it to the RNC and DNC. How they were private organizations trying to retain their powers over the government and uninterested in representative of the people or the will of the people.

Someone post that transcript link please Vet really gave it to him about fighting for our freedom to vote. Backed him in a corner. He had to work out of

The rules are changed by the establishment before the convention and told at the convention by their lawyers that these are the rules.
We are falsely told the rules are made at or before the convention but its a lie.
This is explained the the article I posted in #120. We are lied to. This article explains voting has NOTHING to do with selecting a man. Its all back room deals.
Sorry but this article tells how Romney stole the nomination. THIS is how the Republican Party Works.

One other thing I just thought of. When I was watching my mom make them some years ago, she put the meat mix in the leaf then rolled it, then took the cabbage leaf ends that were on either side of the rolled up part (hope that makes sense - hard to describe) then poke the leaf on either side in to the roll.

I eventually said, Mom, what if you did it this way, which seems much easier to me:
start the roll, take the leaf that is outside the roll on each side, fold those into the roll, then keep rolling.

These take a little time to make, but not too bad. I usually make quite a few (never totally sure how many we’re having for Christmas Eve dinner), and we normally have a few meals left over for my sister, BIL, nephew and me. They freeze fairly well, too. I normally use 2 heads of cabbage, usually at least 2 big cans of the canned tomatoes, 1 or 2 of the small cans of tomato sauce, about a cup or so of rice (+/- to your liking) and about 1-1/2 lbs of hamburger and 1/2 lb of ground pork, which makes quite a few - I’m thinking at least 16-20 (depending upon the size of the cabbage leaves). I used to make them all in a very large Revere pot, last time I used to about 4-5 quart pots, and I think that was better.

Dropping out willingly and being forced to withdraw name is two different things
Having your eligibility in question or being indicted for a federal felony can change the game. RNC is already on weak grounds. As Rush pointed out. They changed the rules last time to keep Paul from having a say

This time expect them to raise the number of delegates to above where Trump has earned to qualify JMO

Good points!

Since Navarro worked for Jeb! and a lot of his team is now with Lyin’ Cheatin’ Ted, wonder if she is working for Ted, too. I just remember her going ape over Trump’s stand on ILLEGAL immigration (of course, she doesn’t separate illegal from legal) - IIRC she has a bit of a Spanish accent with her English.

I used to think AC was a fairly articulate representative for Pubbies, but her support of Teddy and rhetoric and lies on Trump totally amazed me - can’t listen to her.

With the strength and number of Trump voters, and their (and my) dedication to him, the GOP is in a “damned if they do - damned if they don’t” situation. If the GOP denies Trump the nomination, they face a massive election defeat across the board.

If Trump gets the nomination and wins, the GOP loses control of much of the party apparatus to Trump and his supporters.

As far as I’m concerned with the GOP, it’s a win-win situation.
