Dropping out willingly and being forced to withdraw name is two different things
Having your eligibility in question or being indicted for a federal felony can change the game. RNC is already on weak grounds. As Rush pointed out. They changed the rules last time to keep Paul from having a say
This time expect them to raise the number of delegates to above where Trump has earned to qualify JMO
With the strength and number of Trump voters, and their (and my) dedication to him, the GOP is in a “damned if they do - damned if they don’t” situation. If the GOP denies Trump the nomination, they face a massive election defeat across the board.
If Trump gets the nomination and wins, the GOP loses control of much of the party apparatus to Trump and his supporters.
As far as I’m concerned with the GOP, it’s a win-win situation.
I unfortunately think they will raise the number count above what Trump has to make sure he can’t get it on the first go around.
Also all this delegate shenanigans by Cruz will ultimately kick him in the butt. There is no way they’ll let him let him have it in the second. He is working in vein.
The establishment has their own agenda and rules already set in place, written up, and a lawyer or most assuredly lawyers, paid to be there on day one to TAKE OVER the convention.
