Cruz Attacks Matt Drudge [AUDIO]
Daily Caller ^ | 4/11/16 | Steve Guest

Posted on 04/11/2016 4:21:10 PM PDT by markomalley

Sen. Ted Cruz claims that Roger Stone, The Daily Caller Men’s Fashion editor, “decides” what Matt Drudge posts on his website Drudge Report.

In an interview with Mike Slater on “The Mike Slater Show” Monday, Cruz said, “If people want to get on the “Trump train,” they can. I actually think we need real and meaningful solutions to the problems in this country, and as president my focus is going to be on three things: jobs, freedom and security.”

Slater asked Cruz what he thought of the Drudge Report and the Texas senator replied, “Look, Drudge Report over the years has done a good job highlighting the excesses of the left and the excesses of liberalism, and about the past month the Drudge Report has basically become the attack site for the Donald Trump campaign.”

“And so every day they have the latest Trump attack. They’re directed at me. It — by all appearances, Roger Stone now decides what’s on Drudge, and most days they have a six-month-old article that is some attack on me, and it’s — whatever the Trump campaign is pushing that day will be the banner headline on Drudge.”

“By the way, they no longer cover news. Remember they used to have things like election results? They don’t put those on Drudge anymore. When we win a state, suddenly the state doesn’t matter. You know Colorado — there was no red siren on Drudge when we won all 34 delegates in Colorado. That wasn’t news, because — I mean listen, that’s fine,” Cruz said.

Later Cruz said, “My number one priority is bringing jobs back to America, raising wages for everyone, making it easier for people struggling to achieve the American Dream. That’s my focus. And I’m going to let others worry about the silly political game and the circus.”

I posted the Biblical evidence Post 325

Which basically shows you are entirely insane, since those verses are part of Paul's larger argument that basically says that no Jew is a real Jew unless he's a Christian. Meanwhile, you are accusing Matt Drudge of being an anti-semite.

Sooooo, you're using verses that would basically make every Jew "not a real Jew," in order to defend yourself for calling Drudge an anti-semite? How can you be worried about anti-semitism when you're working within a theological system that doesn't believe in semites?

Cruz supporter so deluded in thinking, not realizing a Cruz vote is a Hillary vote and has been since the FL and OH primary.

Great, Drudge reports stories favorable to Trump. Who else does? It’s been 24/7 non-stop #anti/never/no-way, no-how Trump since a couple of weeks after he announced. It’s the media, academia, Hollywood, republicans, democrats, conservatives, some talk-radio, you name it. One outlet is more pro than anti-trump. ONE recognizable outlet. Big whoop. Cruz wanted kudos for winning the delegates in Colorado. He’s getting recognition; it just may not be the kind he wants from Drudge.

Whose fault is it that the Free Republic Caucus favors Trump?

I can’t force you folks to participate.

Don’t blame me if you don’t show up there.

I made it very clear what the problems was.

The Cruz folks don’t vote.

I just got through responding to some folks who said it was just a tool for gathering data on Cruz supporters. It never dawned on them that Trump folks are there, and it could be used that way too if people were so inclined.

It’s really strange reading the thoughts of others on these matters.

The Cruz folks don’t vote.

But the voting numbers are basically about the same as they were months ago. So if Cruzers are not voting, why is this not reflected in the numbers of people participating?

Your are a very convincing poster here.

would be interesting if you switched to being pro Cruz for the next month to see what happens to your stats.

But that counter factual will never happen.

I am Trump/Cruz guy. I think Cruz will win on the VP round of voting after Trump barely stumbles over 1237.

My fear is that Cruz wins and picks Carly OR that Trump wins and picks Kasich or even worse someone random.

So when I did vote , I voted Cruz on your thread because I dont want to see the guy destroyed like Carson or Walker or most of the others for that matter.

Would consider modifying your poll to include the VP slot.

The convention will be picking the VP anyway this cycle.

You really destroyed yourself with that one.

Over and over again people have tried to explain, that the media took the negative approach to trump since the day he announced.

You can’t find hardly a single place on the internet that likes Trump over Cruz.

You might say this forum does or even Drudge does, but beyond that nobody does. I can’t think of a single public entity that does, and yet you say the media made him.

The media tried to trash him every chance they got. They made up stuff to trash him about, or slanted the news to talk about him.

With this in mind, your comment that the media made him is just unsupportable. They have done everything in their power to destroy him.

You didn’t know that?

The numbers to look for are the numbers down just above the bottom of the second graphic.

Those show the total for the day.

Take a look at this two weeks data, and then goto to the bottom of the page and hit another period.

Check out those bottom numbers. Generally you’ll find votes up in the 200 to 220 range, sometimes above that.

Today we had 161 total votes.

Cruz is getting out in front of something and I don't think it's that he drinks out of the milk carton. This is what he pulled before the Enquirer dump.

Could be, or he could just be rambling on about one of the few news sources that isn't totally anti-Trump because he's so used to EVERYONE being anti-Trump. Who knows. He seems quite interested in Roger Stone as well.

I don’t know. It could be, or it could be he’s just frustrated that there’s still a site that isn’t anti-Trump like everyone else. He wanted recognition for winning Colorado delegates. He got it from Drudge, it just may not be the kind of recognition he wanted. He sounds tone deaf to how this plays to the “little people” that prefer to cast their own vote.

Your are the third person to ask me to add in a vice president poll in the just shy of three months the poll has been on the forum.

It’s not a bad idea, but think about it.

We’re having enough bad blood on the forum right now. I am not going to contribute to adding another layer to it.

You folks may not know how much work goes into this, but I’d say I’m well over 200 hours on this project so far.

I had to think up how we would do it, come up with rules, come up with reporting tools, and then police the dog gone thing every day and night.

It’s on my mind all day long as I check to see things are moving smoothly. I add in links so that folks can always find it and take part if they want.

I get folks complaining about the icons, the thread itself, the lopsidedness of the polls, the unfairness of it, the idea that we are collecting data on people, and the idea that it’s a really stupid idea to begin with...

This was supposed to be something for you and other people’s enjoyment. That’s all it was. I support Trump, but I thought it might come up with a Cruz lead. It didn’t matter to me. I was willing to support the project even if it did.

I planned on doing it for two weeks or so, and here we are eight days short of three months.

I’ve gotten it down to a smooth routine. I had today’s complete report tabulated, graphics made, posted to the internet, and a web page to access it all posted in seven minutes tonight. Someone got upset that they had to go to click to the date on my web site, so I put the result on the forum too. Wouldn’t want to disturb the hit police.

Never mind that the graphics are yanked from my web site hundreds of times daily. It’s not doing me any favors getting hits there. I don’t make a dime off of it. This is temporary folks. I’m not building an income stream. DUH!

I have to be home every night to spend about two hours reviewing the votes, catching errors, notifying people when they make errors so they can vote again the next day or even the same day depending on the infraction.

I don’t like doing it, but I try to let folks know when they make a mistake that their vote didn’t count and how to make it count the next time.

And then I also notify people if they voted on the wrong day’s thread, so they can vote again on the proper day’s thread.

Then there are folks who get angry with me, and jump into the caucus thread to cause trouble there.

I spend hundreds of hours on the project so everyone can participate, and some folks think it’s really funny to come in spending thirty seconds to disrupt the process that hundreds of people are trying to participate in.

Some folks get on a kick and do it for days in a row.

WindFlier and Lonely Bull came up with the idea of an after caucus discussion thread, and they provide that tool each night. So this has been as positive an endeavor as any of us could make it.

Those that don’t like it, that’s okay. People have different opinions about things. I gave up folks liking everything I did, or even me, in about the third grade. Didn’t like it, but hey, that’s life.

‘We’re having enough bad blood on the forum right now. I am not going to contribute to adding another layer to it.’

The bad blood is folks feeling excluded by the personal attacks.

By giving Cruz folks an outlet this bad blood will go down.

I never disrupted your thread. Probably should not have people ideas in your post me .

;)

I have continually had the Cruz folks reference me in homosexual terms.

Some of them said Trump had been violating me and his other supporters from behind.

Don’t even think of playing the unfairness card on me.

I’ve never seen a more vicious bunch of idiots.

And yes, don’t tell me I’m being unfair by labeling this as the work of total idiots.

Do you think this helped Cruz here?

The Cruz folks just inundate the forum with trash articles before every primary for about 24-48 hours. If they win they go absolutely nuts for 24 hours after the primary.

I’ve never seen a more rude, vicious, ugly, and fixated on homosexuality crowd in the eighteen years I’ve been here.

Nobody had to give them ideas.

I never saw that anywhere. You seem to hold your own just fine.

I never get attacked by Cruz supporters, even when I have (reluctantly) been supporting Trump/CRuz in recent weeks.

Instead, I get attacked for wanting Cruz to play a role!!
