Your are a very convincing poster here.

would be interesting if you switched to being pro Cruz for the next month to see what happens to your stats.

But that counter factual will never happen.

I am Trump/Cruz guy. I think Cruz will win on the VP round of voting after Trump barely stumbles over 1237.

My fear is that Cruz wins and picks Carly OR that Trump wins and picks Kasich or even worse someone random.

So when I did vote , I voted Cruz on your thread because I dont want to see the guy destroyed like Carson or Walker or most of the others for that matter.

Would consider modifying your poll to include the VP slot.

The convention will be picking the VP anyway this cycle.

Your are the third person to ask me to add in a vice president poll in the just shy of three months the poll has been on the forum.

It’s not a bad idea, but think about it.

We’re having enough bad blood on the forum right now. I am not going to contribute to adding another layer to it.

You folks may not know how much work goes into this, but I’d say I’m well over 200 hours on this project so far.

I had to think up how we would do it, come up with rules, come up with reporting tools, and then police the dog gone thing every day and night.

It’s on my mind all day long as I check to see things are moving smoothly. I add in links so that folks can always find it and take part if they want.

I get folks complaining about the icons, the thread itself, the lopsidedness of the polls, the unfairness of it, the idea that we are collecting data on people, and the idea that it’s a really stupid idea to begin with...

This was supposed to be something for you and other people’s enjoyment. That’s all it was. I support Trump, but I thought it might come up with a Cruz lead. It didn’t matter to me. I was willing to support the project even if it did.

I planned on doing it for two weeks or so, and here we are eight days short of three months.

I’ve gotten it down to a smooth routine. I had today’s complete report tabulated, graphics made, posted to the internet, and a web page to access it all posted in seven minutes tonight. Someone got upset that they had to go to click to the date on my web site, so I put the result on the forum too. Wouldn’t want to disturb the hit police.

Never mind that the graphics are yanked from my web site hundreds of times daily. It’s not doing me any favors getting hits there. I don’t make a dime off of it. This is temporary folks. I’m not building an income stream. DUH!

I have to be home every night to spend about two hours reviewing the votes, catching errors, notifying people when they make errors so they can vote again the next day or even the same day depending on the infraction.

I don’t like doing it, but I try to let folks know when they make a mistake that their vote didn’t count and how to make it count the next time.

And then I also notify people if they voted on the wrong day’s thread, so they can vote again on the proper day’s thread.

Then there are folks who get angry with me, and jump into the caucus thread to cause trouble there.

I spend hundreds of hours on the project so everyone can participate, and some folks think it’s really funny to come in spending thirty seconds to disrupt the process that hundreds of people are trying to participate in.

Some folks get on a kick and do it for days in a row.

WindFlier and Lonely Bull came up with the idea of an after caucus discussion thread, and they provide that tool each night. So this has been as positive an endeavor as any of us could make it.

Those that don’t like it, that’s okay. People have different opinions about things. I gave up folks liking everything I did, or even me, in about the third grade. Didn’t like it, but hey, that’s life.
