Ted Cruz, the man who believes god wants him to be president
Daily Express ^ | April 8, 2016 | Chris Roycroft-Davis

SENATOR Ted Cruz may be dubbed the most despised man in Washington but he is certain God wants him to be the next president of the US.

snip

What is disconcerting is the paradox that such a religious person as Cruz can attract such hatred. If you think hatred is a strong word this is what Cruz’s college room-mate says of him: “I would rather have anybody else be the president of the United States. Anyone. I would rather pick somebody from the phone book.”

In case the US did not get the message, Craig Mazin – now a scriptwriter – added: “Ted Cruz will become the thing you need him to be so that he wins an election. No principles, no moral centre, no values. Just ambition.”

snip

Ted GETTY, Trump's senior policy advisor said said Cruz was a Wall Street globalist

The dawning realisation that it could be Cruz prompted Trump’s most senior policy adviser to tell an audience in Wisconsin: “I’m going to tell each and every one of you the real truth about Ted Cruz. He is a radical Wall Street globalist who will rip the beating heart of manufacturing out of the United States of America.”

Strong stuff. Trump weighed in this way: “He’s a nasty guy. Nobody likes him. Nobody in Congress likes him. Nobody likes him anywhere once they get to know him.”

snip

When asked which politician they would like to run for president many people who have worked with him closely say anyone but Cruz.

One political strategist who worked with Cruz in George W Bush’s campaign office tweeted that: “If a truth serum was given to the staff of the 2000 Bush [campaign team] an enormous percentage would vote for Trump over Cruz.”

If you had read the article or my comments instead of just the first sentence, you would understand that is not what troubles me...”

I don’t care what troubles you.

I was commenting on the title of the article.

You don’t have to care about what troubles me, it is just that you come across as rather superficial, that’s all...

But carry on...that is what yo do best, a knee-jerk reaction versus a well thought out reasoned response...

Now that Stabby the Clown has served his purpose in delivering Utah, how come we don’t seem him on the road with Teddy?

He was a fixture before and during Utah. And just as kooky before, during and after.

He served his purpose.

I dismiss this sort of rhetoric on Cruz and look at his actual record.

I dismiss the same sort of rhetoric on Trump and look at his actual record.

I dismiss this sort of rhetoric on Hillary and look at her actual record.

I dismiss the same sort of rhetoric on Bernie and look at his actual record.

When you look at their records, Trump and Cruz are (probably) both good to great, and Hillary and Bernie would (certainly) both be catastrophic failures. I wish people would stick to the facts on the candidates rather than what people with an agenda say without evidence.

Cruz and Trump agree far more than 80% of the time (see my tagline from Ronald Reagan). They should be friends and allies, and we should treat both of them as such.

Take that and compare it to what all of Trump’s classmates have to say about him from military school. Cruz does not hold up very well in comparison. Dubya said he never did like the guy. Everybody can’t be wrong.

Masses are asses. In fact the si called elite are proven again and again to be the true asses. It’s proven through time and across nations.

If rhyming taught us anything about truth Andrew Dice Clay and Jesse Jackson would be Prophets.

This is a guy who lived with Cruz, and spent time with him. His comments about Cruz are far different than what I would have expected, which is something along the lines of "Well, Ted is a conservative Constitutionalist to the core, though I don't agree with him on politics, that is just who he is..." 1) Everybody who went to college thought at least one of their roommates was an @$$#0!ₑ. 2) One has to be something of an @$$#0!ₑ oneself to still be going on about it 20 or 30 years later. 3) Jerks who do go public about their roommates 30 years back are likely to give the worst possible picture of those roommates, because they are jerks themselves. ---------------------------- Well this is just my take on it, and I am concerned. 1. There are other roommates who have said the same. 2. He was asked by reporter--not like he is going on about it... 3. I would think that most people would want to be associated with a famous person running for President... Everyone likes a winner mentality...BTW I have not seen nasty Trump roommate articles yet.

Craig Mazin – now a scriptwriter

Oh. I see. An impeccable source. A Jewish scriptwriter who got stuck with him as a freshman roommate at Harvard. Maybe an atheist Lefty, ya think? Who hates fundies, maybe? (This is someone of Jewish heritage speaking.)

You can see that Ted is ambitious, but without any principles? He's been on this Constitutional gig since junior high. Are we supposed to believe it means nothing to him and he's just itching to finally go RINO?

Ted Cruz has strong principles and has always been guided by the Constitution.

I really don't care what his Hollywood liberal college roommate who writes trash movie scripts thinks about him. He was probably offended that Cruz read the Bible. The whole article is a rehashed slam.

Cruz supporters will be in shock if he wins the nomination. He is going to change his platform so fast, it will make your head spin. He has to; he needs Florida and right now the man couldn’t sell a $10 bill for $5 here.

Without going into details, I ran into a pastor like that at a large church in the Midwest. He was running a huge “conference”. Introduced myself and got a similar reaction. Incredible. I was so stunned I fell into a similar loop.

Later when I looked at it objectively, I could see exactly what this dude was all about. I never forgot that. It was about 5 years ago (I’ve met or talked with many of these guys).

This one, however, was a stand-out. I’ve learned to be thankful for events like that; it clears up who is who right from the get-go.

No, quit the crap. Cruz and his old man are truly kooks.

He is apart from normal people.

So are you!

BTW, I also met, face-to-face the keynote speaker at the conference and spoke with him face-to-face for several minutes, a couple of times, over the two-day conference. He was gracious and professional; far unlike his host, who was basking in the limelight; I’m sorry to say.
