Ted Cruz, the man who believes god wants him to be president

SENATOR Ted Cruz may be dubbed the most despised man in Washington but he is certain God wants him to be the next president of the US.

snip

What is disconcerting is the paradox that such a religious person as Cruz can attract such hatred. If you think hatred is a strong word this is what Cruz’s college room-mate says of him: “I would rather have anybody else be the president of the United States. Anyone. I would rather pick somebody from the phone book.”

In case the US did not get the message, Craig Mazin – now a scriptwriter – added: “Ted Cruz will become the thing you need him to be so that he wins an election. No principles, no moral centre, no values. Just ambition.”

snip

Ted GETTY, Trump's senior policy advisor said said Cruz was a Wall Street globalist

The dawning realisation that it could be Cruz prompted Trump’s most senior policy adviser to tell an audience in Wisconsin: “I’m going to tell each and every one of you the real truth about Ted Cruz. He is a radical Wall Street globalist who will rip the beating heart of manufacturing out of the United States of America.”

Strong stuff. Trump weighed in this way: “He’s a nasty guy. Nobody likes him. Nobody in Congress likes him. Nobody likes him anywhere once they get to know him.”

snip

When asked which politician they would like to run for president many people who have worked with him closely say anyone but Cruz.

One political strategist who worked with Cruz in George W Bush’s campaign office tweeted that: “If a truth serum was given to the staff of the 2000 Bush [campaign team] an enormous percentage would vote for Trump over Cruz.”

“After kneeling in prayer for two hours at a Baptist church in Texas, Cruz’s family wept as his wife Heidi said she had received a message from above that instructed Cruz to run for the White House”

They wept?

WEPT?

Weeping is for heartbreaking situations.

Many Trump supporters share your view.

However, from what I hear it has been a very common mailer in caucus states in the past. And the charge that it was intimidating is laughable. At least to me.

Oh, Ted wept.

He was forced to pick up the cross of running for President.

A shame such a good man be so slandered with outright lies, many of not most started by Trump.

Did you even read the article? He was not slandered, least of all by Trump.

Christianity is attacked from all sides. The small % of Jews that are religious Jews blaspheme Christ, and % of Jewish Christians is very small. Jesus will be crowned in all his glory one day.

To you and me, and most here, it was not intimidating. But I think there are a lot of people who are not so tuned in to politics, specially older people, who might have been quite intimidated, and possibly embarrassed by the threat to inform their neighbors. Now that I’ve turned 70, I am bombarded by scammers, by phone and by mail.

Funny you should mention that, The Bible goes through great pains to document the linage of Jesus. They were very picky about the bloodline the savior had to take, yet God's chosen path was not the most elegant one to take, it had Prostitutes,Adultery and murder. But it was a true linage.

Your example to me just shows how little Trump followers actually know what they are talking about.

It sound great doesn’t it, until you actually point out that there is no way he will win the important , swing states like FL, VA where he could not win a single county and where he could not win the general and there is no way those people in VA are going to vote to lose their jobs.

“It sound great doesn’t it,”

Can’t wait till he starts changing his position on abortion.

The Cruzers around here will have a nervous breakdown.

Cruz’ principles don’t include honesty. One small example, he is currently saying that Trump “wants to gut the 2nd amendment”. He is basing this on the fact that in 1999 Trump expressed support for renewing the “Assault Weapon Ban”. He knows perfectly well that Trump has long since changed his position on that particular issue, has never wanted to “gut” the 2nd amendment. Moreover Cruz worked in the Bush/Ashcroft Justice Department, whose official position was that the AWB should be renewed. That was years after citizen Trump’s declaration of support, and Cruz never spoke out against the policy at that time. So much for Lyin’ Ted’s great constitutional principles.
