Cruz's reception in New York was chilly.
Back in January, Ted Cruz made the mistake of assuming the rest of America still hates New York. His dismissal of "New York values" didn't endear him to the Empire State Governor Cuomo demanded an apology from Cruz, and the New York Daily News did what the New York Daily News does best and as expected, the comment came back to haunt him as he campaigned in the Bronx on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, at a massive rally in Long Island, Donald Trump, who's polling ahead of Cruz in New York by a wide margin, used the senator's remarks against him. "Do you remember during the debate when he started lecturing me on New York values like we're no good?" Trump asked the crowd. "Folks, I think you can forget about him."

I just listened to it. His ad in Iowa said ‘new York values “ are not iowa values...
He used it as a slogan.
You are aware that Deceptive Donnie coined the phrase first?
Meet the Press, 1999:
Russert asked Trump about gay marriage. Trump didn't want to comment on it, but said he has no problem with gays in the military.
He explained, "I've lived in New York City and Manhattan all my life, okay? So my views are a little bit different than if I lived in Iowa."
When Russert asked Trump about abortion, he said he's "pro-choice in every respect" and again cited his New York background, which he said has a "different attitude" from most of the country

Here's Trump in 2013 touting communist Bill de Blasio for mayor of New York City. He was 67 years-old at the time.
Fred Dicker: What is it going to mean for Donald Trump to have Bill de Blasio as [New York City] Mayor?"
Donald Trump: "He's a smart guy that knows what's going on really big league and I think he is not going to want to destroy New York."
(Voice Over: That was Donald Trump a little over two years ago, endorsing [Marxist] Bill de Blasio for New York Mayor)
Donald Trump: "I think pretty strongly that he'll end up being a good mayor, maybe a very good mayor."
(Voice Over: De Blasio ran on class warfare, sanctuary cities and ending stop and frisk. De Blasio's sided with looters and cop killers against the police, with teachers unions against schoolchildren and with PC liberals to let the homeless run wild on city streets)
Donald Trump: "I think he is going to want to make New York great. ..."

Are you upset that he shot himself in the head when it comes to 95 new York delegates and trails john kasich?
“But he pushed the slogan new York values”
You mean the type of values that pay people like Hillary, Rosie O and OJ to come to their weddings?
1999??? Something trump said in 1999? 12 years Before his conversion
Ted Cruz said less than a year ago that he wants illegals to stay and he wants to massively increase H1B visas
There you go!
Right on cue!!!
Huh?
I asked you a real question, not a fictional one.
See 326
But I wouldn’t mind hillary coming to a wedding I conduct. Or anybody really. She’d hear the gospel.
Deceptive Donnie said just yesterday that Planned Parenthood’s just swell.
He tossed 95 delegates down the crapper. Doesn’t that bother you?

"It's not the first time Trump has taken a pro-LGBT stance. As far back as 2000, Trump was advocating the idea of amending the 1964 Civil Rights Act to prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation - something the currently-pending Equality Act would basically do if lawmakers on Capitol Hill ever decided to pass it.
"Amending the Civil Rights Act would grant the same protection to gay people that we give to other Americans - its only fair," Trump told The Advocate in February, 2000.
In the same interview, Trump said he favored "a very strong domestic-partnership law" that guaranteed same-sex couples equal legal rights as married, heterosexual couples.
Trump also said he believed Don't Ask, Don't Tell - the military's then-ban on openly gay service members - had "clearly failed."
Trump's spokesperson, Hope Hicks, did not immediately respond to msnbc's request for comment on where the presidential candidate stood on the Equality Act. But his longstanding support for ending discrimination against gay people has been well documented. ..."

Donald Trump said forward progress on LGBT right would happen on his administration.
In contrast to other recent remarks, Donald Trump said on Thursday progress on gay rights would continue under his administration and cast himself as a uniter of people regardless of their views on the issue.
Trump made the remarks in New Hampshire just days before the states primary in an interview with New England Cable Newss Sue OConnell, whos also publisher of the Boston-based LGBT newspaper Bay Windows.
OConnell, a lesbian, asked Trump if the country can look for more forward motion on gay and lesbian rights if hes elected to the White House.
Well, you can, Trump answered.
And look, again, were going to bring people together, and that's your thing and other people have their thing. We have to bring all people together and if we dont were not going to have a country anymore.
Its hard to say what kind of forward progress would happen on LGBT rights under a Trump administration.
In a 2000 interview with The Advocate, Trump said he supports amending federal civil rights law to include sexual orientation. Although Trump has said in this election cycle companies shouldnt fire people for being gay, but hasnt said whether he still supports amending federal law to achieve that goal or whether he would also support protections for transgender people.
Meanwhile, Trump has signaled qualified support for the First Amendment Defense Act, federal religious freedom legislation seen to enable to anti-LGBT discrimination. An opponent of same-sex marriage, Trump said on Sunday he would consider appointing justices to the Supreme Court who would reverse the ruling in favor of marriage equality.
Gregory Angelo, president of Log Cabin Republicans, said the remarks reveal a glimmer of hope Trump would be a friend to LGBT people in the White House.
As Ive long said, putting all else aside and with Donald Trump, that can, at times, be a herculean task there is a legitimate case to be made that Donald Trump would be an ally to the LGBT community as President of the United States, Angelo said. Trump confirmed that today.

So how many sanctuary cities are there in Texas? According to what I pull up, there are about a dozen, including major cities.
What’s up with those values Tex?
“He tossed 95 delegates down the crapper. Doesnt that bother you?”
No he didn’t.
True conservatives are going to vote for him, and he’ll pick up some proportional delegates.
Those that aren’t true conservatives wouldn’t have voted for him anyway. They’re the only ones who were offended by these comments.
Nothing’s changed.
He said he’ll defunct them if they don’t stop doing abortions.
Cruz said abortion is just fine with him so far as women are concerned.
“Ted Cruz said less than a year ago that he wants illegals to stay and he wants to massively increase H1B visas”
——————————————CRUZ———————————
Enforce the law: Restore our commitment to enforcement and public safety and the Rule of Law by rededicating DHS to fully enforcing the law, including through deportations and returns. During the first five years of the Obama Administration, President Obama removed or returned only 3.8 million illegal entrants. That is a fraction of the removals and returns during the previous five years, and a fraction of what we could accomplish if we had a President who actually forced DHS to do its job and removed politics from an agency charged with law enforcement. As President, I would do just that.
So how many sanctuary cities are there in Texas? According to what I pull up, there are about a dozen, including major cities.
Whats up with those values Tex?
Where is the error?
Cruz ate dinner and took huge money from leading gays. Wonder what they’ll get for their money?
“Cruz said abortion is just fine with him so far as women are concerned.”
HUH???
Boy, what have you been smoking?
You might want to look at a tape of the Kelly File from Monday to see the real story.
He’ll not pick up anything in new York. He trails kasich.
