Veteran political strategist and informal adviser for GOP frontrunner Donald Trump Roger Stone warns on Breitbart News Daily that the loss in Wisconsin should be a wakeup call for the Trump campaign, which he says should invest in campaign infrastructure to sew up the partys nomination.
Its an early wakeup call, as it were, for the Trump campaign, Stone, who predicted earlier that Trump would lose Wisconsin, tells Stephen K. Bannon.
Trumps campaign has been fueled, from the beginning, with these hot button issues and an extraordinary communications-based strategy, where you utilize these huge rallies, the incredible media coverage they have generated, plus the high-profile debates, plus give Trump credit any interview he could do, as many interviews as he could do to reach as many voters he can reach. And that has worked. Up until now.
The campaign has no infrastructure in the states, he continued.
The woman who ran Wisconsin for Trump previously ran Oklahoma for Trump. Trump lost. Prior to that, she had never run any political campaign, so there was no depth of experience. This is something I see again and again, particularly at the ground roots level. Now, I salute these people for their enthusiasm, but this is a science. This is not something we guess about. And now you move to a serious of states like Colorado, Wyoming, and Arizona [which] should be watched very carefully. And those become hand-to-hand combat at state conventions or state committee meetings, where once again the Trump people have built no infrastructure.
Stone added that Trumps current predicament reminds him of Ronald Reagans failed 1976 run.

Since that chart shows 100 percent of remaining delegates going to Cruz, no, that wouldn’t work.

My pleasure, thanks go to the King of Florida.
1. Who said it was the "single most brave (sic) act in the history of congress (sic)"? Classic Trump-like response: seize on some point, divert, erect a strawman, destroy it. The only thing you left out was the foul language.
2. When you saw Trump "funneling money" to Hillary's 2008 Presidential campaign, did you hold such a staunch view of who "the willing" idiots are?
3. When the truth becomes clear to Trump supporters, will they change their minds - or does the grape KoolAid taste so good that they can't stop drinking it?
That is called the Alinsky way of doing things - accuse your enemy of what you yourself are already doing, even if he is not doing it, so that your opponent gets the media hit first and when you are found out it won't be a big deal.
So, way before the mainstream media goes after Trump for his lifelong womanizing, Ted is accused of womanizing.
Well that is the whole plan...of the entire party. They won't consider it "stealing" as it is their private party and they can play the rules however they wish. The Democrats have their Supers and the Republicans have their shell games. All the same thing.
The problem is that America is ruled by a closed two party system. The parties own all the places at the table and they will do everything in their power to maintain that closed system. Because then, you don't even have to win elections to stay at the trough and control the system. Winning is not important because you aren't going to change anything, you are just perpetuating the status quo that makes you fat, rich and happy.
If Trump wants to change things, he needs to understand that revolutions MUST come from the outside. The system will simply swallow him up and he will disappear from the scene. He needs to go Third Party...he has always needed to but he didn't really understand what he was facing. And he probably needs to convince Bernie, who is likewise going to be swallowed up by the system, to do the same. Let Bernie have the Green Party and Trump should find another set party that has ballot access. Make it a four-way race.
The real goal should be to kill the closed two party system that rules the people of the country. The Republican Party could be toppled by finishing fourth...that's what I'd call a good start.
I agree, I would love to see this turn into a 4 way race, Bernie, Hillary, Ryan Romney JEB Cruz or whoever, Trump
Would be an interesting race and would destroy the republican party and possibly the democratic party as well
That would be a great day in America when that happens
He’s fooled people with his one “hot button” issue.
How is supporting industry wide taxpayer funded bailouts conservative?
How is raising taxes and contemplating taxing actual savings balances above a certain threshold conservative?
How is using eminent domain for private interests conservative?
How is nationalizing the banking industry conservative?
How is expanding nationalized healthcare conservative?
How is using Big Government to solve “the problems of the masses” conservative?
Trump is a hypocrite at best and an outright liar at worst on every single issue that Conservatives claim to hold dear as core principles. Yet many here and roughly 30% nationwide have fallen for his snake-oil, same old same old big government, Federally mandated, do as I say not as I do solutions. Everyone here blasted John Kerry in 2004 as a flip-flopper, but Trump makes Kerry look like a rank amateur!
I believe there will be a backlash at the tactics now being executed by the Cruz/GOPE Establishment media to BRAND Trump with some pretty hysterical notions.
One poster on another thread commented to me that he had read reports that Trump is pooped!
HA!HA!HA!
We need to know this is not-about-TRUMP.
It is an attempt to demoralize TRUMP supporters, over a single state loss in WI, by pushing that WI outcome as if it were the “the end”, and using this media AIR WAR to do it.
How ridiculous is that? Expect TRUMP to answer.
GO TRUMP!
And if the race is:
Bernie
Hillary
Bush
and Trump
Trump would have a field day with these idiots
Low Energy vs commie vs cankles vs Trump
I would love to watch that debate
How is supporting TPP Conservative?
How is the corker bill conservative?
how is the establishment conservative?
What is conservative anymore anyways? I mean, Obama gets everything he wants from these so-called conservatives, even 2 trillion in NEW spending!
Cruz is the biggest liar and hypocrite running
Yup because Trump thought he was a shoe in because he thinks everyone just loves him. But now he is learning people don’t love Donald Trump as much as Donald Trump loves himself. He’s an empty suit. Just saying anything to get elected and gain power like everyone else. Only difference is he is far more obnoxious than the rest.
That would be the perfect scenario. Even if it’s just Hillary, Ryan, and Trump.. I think he can win!!
Ryan gets the same suckers who vote Kasick/Cruz and Trump will get his near 40% base support and blue collar/disenfranchised Bernie voters to make it a real possibility.
Bernie would be very dangerous in such a race...but the goal should be to end the two party oligarchy, so even a Bernie win would be some progress. Governing chaos would ensue, but that’s going to happen anyway over the next four years regardless of who wins. You will likely get some different form of gridlock and creeping socialism, which is pretty much what you’d get from the two party system. Over time, however, there is an opportunity for real change, but only if the two party oligarchy is destroyed.
Let me encourage other members of the establishment: Keep supporting Donald Trump because every time you do it, what it is doing is telling conservatives all over the country is where you stand and who stands with you.
- Ted Cruz, New Hampshire stump speech
yep just saying and then doing another thing.
IT could be Hillary, JEB and Trump
That would be more interesting
I don’t think JEB is out, you don’t spend 150 million of other people’s money and just walk away, if you know what I mean
“Who said it was the “single most brave (sic) act in the history of congress (sic)”?”
Who keeps repeating it as some sort of definitive event in political history that supposedly shows how much of a badass Ted is supposed to be. Or how it proves that he is the most anti-gope guy in America.
Typical Cruz fan answer. Keep repeating this yarn, then act astonished when someone points out how insignificant it is.
Anything to make that Gope kool-aid slide down your throat eaiser.
“So the long and short of this is Trump has an incompetently run presidential campaign.”
That has left the “smart” establishment and their puppet candidates in the dust to the point where they have to cheat and work to toss the election to Hillary in order to “win”.
I agree with you about the infrastructure in states. He needs this to ensure delegate and transition into a general election campaign. I support him, but if he doesn’t have these things, I worry he can’t win a general without infrastructure in these states...if he gets there.
Add to your list approximately 150 unbound delegate slots for party leaders, and the over 250 delegates previously not bound to anyone or bound to candidates who have withdrawn. When you factor these in along with the Kasich delegates available when his name is not placed in nomination, you have a completely different picture.
