A speaker at an evangelical Christian college urged students to accept the views of Black Lives Matter and consider themselves as having benefited from white privilege while looking to the Palestinians for inspiration in how to get along with ones adversaries. The Rev. Christena Cleveland, a social psychologist who teaches at Duke University School of Divinity and authored the book "Disunity in Christ," brought a message of reconciliation and "love without exception" to Biola University in Los Angeles last week.
At a conference titled "Love No Matter What: Politics, Sex, Race and the Way of the Cross," Cleveland touted the contributions of Black Lives Matter and said Christians should be more loving and accepting of the LGBTQ community, Muslims and others who don't share their particular vision of biblical truth. Biola broadcast the conference to thousands over the Internet on March 24. The goal of the conference was to get Christians to "stretch your capacity to see different perspectives and different issues in a unique way," said Tim Muehlhoff, a professor in Biola's communications department who also serves on Biola's Center for Marriage and Relationships.
One of the more controversial conference speakers was Cleveland, a 35-year-old professor whose most recent blog on her website is titled "Trump, the White Man's Last Gasp, and the Resurrection." Cleveland's message was so antithetical to the conservative mission statement of Biolo University that some critics are calling out the university for sponsoring a "Bernie Sanders-like" message of humanistic socialism...

If you are a Christian today, choose which side you are on. Are you with the new Christians and Allah? Or are you with the Jesus Christ of the Bible?
I guess they can call it “A new version of Christianity.” if they want to. I will call it something else.
No.
Does not compute.
Christianity is loosing its mind
I’ll let the Earth embrace them in their dirt nap after the threatened rioting begins.
I have very devout, liberal, Episcopalian friends who went to a Black Lives Matter meeting because they earnestly wanted to care about police malfeasance. It was eye-opening for them. The scary thing for them was violence was part of the equation for the BLM people. It is not a peaceful civil rights movement.
To not choose is a choice, but it ends up with Allah.
I’m noticing this with young people at “Christian” colleges. It is avery scary distortion of Christianity, especially the acceptance of Muslims.
Exactly. BL Matter is built on violence and lies. If they truly cared about young black men they would encourage marital fidelity, career building, and eliminate rap music. Oh, and they would want murderers and thieves to be punished.
Christianity=all lives matter.
More new age gobbledygook . Pure bunk.
Surely, this must be a late April Fools.
Tells me all I need to know about her right there.
As they say in baseball, three strikes, you're out!
I am thinking then from your post that as the left has leached into, and redefined conservatism, that now they too have, and are redefining Christianity by similar means?
I wouldn’t doubt it as the Left is notorious for wash, rinse, repeat. Don’t fix it if it works. Just as they are using the same tactics they used against BIG tobacco, they are now trying to incorporate those same tactics against climate deniers.
The Left is easy to read. If only we could burn their book, but book burning is a sacrilege./S
Christianity is losing nothing.
Though with a scornful wonder the world sees her oppressed,
By schisms rent asunder, by heresies distressed,
Yet saints their watch are keeping, their cries go up, “how long?”,
And soon the night of weeping will be the morn of song.
>benefited from white privilege
Nuff said. blm, islam, horny males, no difference.
These MFers ain’t right in the head...
