WASHINGTON, D.C.Governor John Kasichs hopes that he had overcome the anti-gun reputation he had earned for supporting the Clinton Gun Ban in 1994 may now be dashed, after he told two separate Sunday talk shows that he is considering nominating a Supreme Court justice who might abolish the Second Amendment.

If anyone on this site needs more reasons not to vote for Kasich, well...THERE ARE PLENTY!
And yet, they apparently love him in Ohio.
He is a lunatic, but that is what you get when you allow yourself to think that the Left is morally superior and your job is to correct those on the right.
Kasich is another TURD that needs to be flushed ASAP.
Not that I anticipate having to vote for Kasich, but it would be nice to have a link aside from breitbart. Can’t ever go there again. :(
I liked Pataki as governor of NY way back when.
I’d grip the third rail with both hands before i’d vote for him for president!
Did I miss something? I cursed at the TV the whole hour he was on and I think I agreed with him on one or two things at most.
What makes a dunce like This Kasich believe he knows more than the Founders of the United States.
Just his approach, to getting rid of the second Amendment puts him in the land of Lunatics. He feeds off his own Fetish,
Kasich has a Constitution problem, period.
Two critical issues for conservatives/Republicans, yet many still favor Kasich. Go figure....
For this reason alone I will never support K-sick.
Better to be stabbed in the front by a known enemy (e.g., Hillary!) than stabbed in the back by a presumed friend (e.g., GOP-e).
Yeah—They love him so much that he couldn’t even pull in 50% of the Republican vote.
So does the Governor of Missouri Jay Nixon (D).
Hopeful his political career is ending.
Once anti-gun, ALWAYS anti-gun. Leopards do not change their spots.
Kasich is, in this regard, a very typical politician. Guns in the hands of the people is a stark and unpleasant reminder that they cannot control us - and they HATE that fact.
“Where the people fear the government you have tyranny. Where the government fears the people you have liberty.” - Thomas Jefferson (Author of the Declaration of Independence, President and gun owner).
FYJK!! Molon Labe!!
Not only that but he also stated should he become president he wouldnt mind having a socialist for a running mate. If this country is to go anywhere, aside from ending up on the trash heap of history, as every country in history has by embracing socialism, this country needs some one fighting socialism each and every step of the way and not continentally embracing or reaching out to it. Just like cozying up to (i)slam as eventually it will do you in and destroy everything worthwhile.
When it comes to a bad idea, every which way you twist and turn it, at the end it still remains a bad idea. Something what unfortunately escapes way too many people.
Maybe I’m wrong, but the USSC doesn’t have the power to repeal an amendment, only the people. I guess kasick is just another idiot that wants power to control Americans, without the faintest clue of what our governing document actually means.
Yep. Now, the USSC can open holes in the Amendment by reinterpreting phrases, notably "well-regulated militia", but it can't outright "abolish" any Amendment.
And what amazes me about these liberal fascists is their complete blindness to the door that is opened to restricting our other Constitutional rights if the courts are allowed to castrate the Second Amendment. What's next the First, or maybe the Fourth? We can't have those ridiculous individual rights interfering with the government's control of the sheeple!
They’ve already done a number on the Fourth Amendment with regard to warrantless searches and the Fifth with regard to asset forfeiture. I mean, not just “modified” but reinterpreted such that a clear prohibition has become a specific permission. With the right Court membership I could easily imagine a reinterpretation of the Second such that “shall not be infringed” actually means “can be regulated however the government wishes”.
