Jim;
Things have gotten way out of control here as of late. You know as well as most of us, that this war must end and end now, or your forum will end up being nothing more than a joke.
I humbly suggest that you not just request, but demand, that everyone step back and take a serious look at the slanderous comments being made by both camps. Debate is one thing, but what is happening is no longer a debate. This forum is on the verge of a civil war. A war that need not happen. For the good of this great forum, I and many I have talked to on both sides of the war admit things have gone too far.
I am a Ted Cruz supporter, yet I call on all my fellow Cruz supporters to put the knives back in the sheaths, as I ask the same of all you Trump supporters.
This civil war of Freeper against Freeper must end, or the result will inevitably be a complete destruction of this once great forum.
I begin by laying down my weapons as a gesture of good will. From hence forth I will not post any comments that are just knee jerk angry remarks that only serve to fuel the fires of hate and animosity.
We all have a common enemy in this fight, the eventual Democrat Presidential Nominee. I suggest we all remember this, because a house divided upon itself cannot stand, nor defeat the enemy.
I also offer this promise to everyone. Should Trump win the nomination, I promise to fight as hard, and as passionate, for him to become POTUS as I will for Cruz.
“ists”,,, and “isms” both would be interesting
>>>If everyone had voted with me for Pat Buchanan our problems would be solved.
Well, I do miss seeing Lenora Fulani.
Agreed
Thank you
Unless I read what you said wrong, I am a Ted Cruz supporter.
I don’t have a problem with anyone that strongly supports their favorite candidate. The problem I have is with people that say if Trump is the nominee or Cruz or whatever other GOP usurper is nominee, then they won’t vote. That is how we got Obama!
What I think is unforgivable and should be a serious offence is the people on this board that have said they will vote for Hillary if their candidate isn’t nominee. Those people are the enemy and we shouldn’t have to listen to anything else they type after they threaten to vote for Hillary.
“Correction not needed, quisling is a noun and weasely an adjective. A quisling is a generic traitor and when they are weasely they are suggestive of a weasel.”
i wasn’t suggesting incorrect grammar, merely that “Quisling weasel” might be less offensive than “weasely quisling” :)
Imagine that.. the very thing that makes FR as unique as it is and one of its members wants to compromise it.
Be the same as if Baskin-Robbins got rid of the flavors and just sold cones without ice cream.
Thanks for the link. I think I’ll save and go back over it.
I agree. You either support the one who will go against the communist bastards, or you are part and partial to their destruction of the nation.
> A truce is fine with me..
> is living in a fantasy land...
You almost got there ...
By your second statement, I think you’ve completely missed the point of this exercise.
[shaking head]
> Because people who disagree with you see no purpose in arguing about it. Does anyone expect to change anyone elses mind?
Totally agree with your post. NBC appears to have as many meanings as there are people reading it. And it is such a simple three word phrase. Frankly I think chasing Obama’s forgery wrecked the whole idea, or made us tired of it. The left is please as punch about that. But the left will be the first to succeed in weaponizing it.
I disagree. The GOP lost because the GOP chose a "gay rights" supporting, flat tax hating, globull warming believing liberal impostor who invented Obamacare for Obama and who couldn't even win his home state as the nominee.
It's insane to vote for a guy who has his knife in your back!
ok.. can go all the way—I would be for Cruz.. if he is nominee..
If you honestly think Romney would have been worse for this country than Obama, you are insane!
> And I can not support a candidate who has ...
So just don’t. But, why say so in forum. It is depressing.
Why?
Because that attitude is what got us Obama’s 2nd term.
That was depressing.
And that attitude is what could get us another Clinton.
That would be depressing.
If I wanted to be depressed, I would watch cable news.
If we all always vote our conscience and not our feelings, we'd win all the time.
Oh, I was joking with him. He knows that.
I can’t include the “/S” on every post.
Besides, that finger has been around since early 2000’s.
BTW, you should read some of his stuff from Chico. Funny.

AMEN, Jim.
(Jim, if my following message is out of line, then please delete it.)
The following is my personal message to all FReepers:
FR has survived many flame wars, including major ones that pop up in election season. This one is no different; FR will survive.
We FReepers are passionate conservatives and have been disappointed many times in the past at many of those we elected when they shed their conservative disguises and revealed their Establishment hearts. Many have been corrupted and sold us out.
We fight amongst ourselves to try and expose the chinks in the armour of the candidates; hoping that we can discover the true conservative champions and praying that G-d will annoint leaders that follow Him.
Sometimes the process is painful, especially when we realize that those we support are not who we thought they were.
The ‘slings and arrows of outrageous fortune’ cut deep, but in this forum, we must resist the temptation to to ‘take arms against a sea of’ disappointments and attacks. This is the essence of Flame wars - ‘and by opposing end them’ does not end them, but only fans the flames into a raging forest fire, serving no purpose when attacking each other.
Debate must be centered on facts, values, and goals, not personal attacks and/or name calling. There is a reason that this forum has a “Report Abuse” button. Use it when personal insults are flying around.
My appologies to Shakespeare and his play, Hamlet, from which I borrowed the above quotes.
