Things have gotten way out of control here as of late. You know as well as most of us, that this war must end and end now, or your forum will end up being nothing more than a joke.
I humbly suggest that you not just request, but demand, that everyone step back and take a serious look at the slanderous comments being made by both camps. Debate is one thing, but what is happening is no longer a debate. This forum is on the verge of a civil war. A war that need not happen. For the good of this great forum, I and many I have talked to on both sides of the war admit things have gone too far.
I am a Ted Cruz supporter, yet I call on all my fellow Cruz supporters to put the knives back in the sheaths, as I ask the same of all you Trump supporters.
This civil war of Freeper against Freeper must end, or the result will inevitably be a complete destruction of this once great forum.
I begin by laying down my weapons as a gesture of good will. From hence forth I will not post any comments that are just knee jerk angry remarks that only serve to fuel the fires of hate and animosity.
We all have a common enemy in this fight, the eventual Democrat Presidential Nominee. I suggest we all remember this, because a house divided upon itself cannot stand, nor defeat the enemy.
I also offer this promise to everyone. Should Trump win the nomination, I promise to fight as hard, and as passionate, for him to become POTUS as I will for Cruz.
What the crap do u think has being going on in Washinton, all they do is make deals with one another and the tax payers get screwed.
Then you have Trump standing on the debate stage singing the praises of Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and Chuck Schumer. Only a fool would want to walk across the aisles and make a deal with these scumbags. What the hell is he thinking...make a deal with the very people that forced obamacare down our throats, make a deal with the same folks who put a gun to our heads snd said buy obamacare or go to jail, make a deal with the same folks that used the IRS against ordinary Americans, make deals with scumbags that have refused to go after a lawless president and even provide cover for him.
Not only that but Trump actively supported and help get these traitors elected. Doesn’t that tell you just a little about judgement of character.
How can any right thinking person even entertain the thought of voting for a man so willing to sell himself for the sake of his business. If he’s willing to sell his on soul to these scumbags for the sake of his company, just think of how quickly he’ll sell out those whom support him.

Short of mass deportations from FR (I’m fine with this idea) the only answer is for the sane to refuse to be drawn into the nonsense. Don’t open the obvious b.s. and churned threads, don’t reply, and take a breath and realize the obvious—you are being subjected to programmed noise by agitators. Some people don’t want you thinking, they want you reacting and fanning the flame they started. They want to lead you into a circular firing squad. You’re being played.
Some old timers used to actual civility have a hard time understanding this, but believe me, the young get it, and that is what’s happening. In some ways, it is exactly like the mindless noise generated by “spontaneous protests” at various rallies. It’s disruption.

Here’s the problem with ignoring: when people like altura, 2ndDivisionVet and the 10 or so others who are most obnoxious are here on every thread about Trump butting in to say something false or stupid, and then post on that threat 10 times, maybe with a cohort or one of their other accounts riffing with them, it destroys the discussion of what the article was about, and then it drives people away. We can’t have that. We need to at least call them out on it and defend the people who are under attack, and make it clear that however many times a jackass posts the same crap, the people here are united to destroy the establishment with the one guy remaining who can win at the convention.

To be honest Jim, that is the only reason I joined over 18 years ago, and its the only reason I am still here.
I have made many friends here and lost some who have gone home to be with our Lord. I have prayed for many, and many have prayed for me and my wife. In the time I have wondered these corridors of conversation, I have gone from Newbie to old timer as my children have grown and given me 7 grandchildren.
I have made many journeys on the great WWW, but none of them hold the memories, both good and bad, as the ones I have with FreeRepublic. I would be lost if I left, and forever saddened if banished.
I have had my share of disagreements here over the years, a few have been with you. I will freely admit that I even deserved to be Zotted a time or two, but in your graciousness you have seen fit to forgive, and keep me around.
