The NYPD is investigating the alleged attack in Greenwich Village’s Stonewall Inn.
A transgender woman reported to police that she was raped inside the bathroom at the historic New York City gay bar Stonewall Inn on Saturday night.
The 25-year-old victim told police she entered the bar’s single occupancy unisex bathroom when a man claiming he needed to wash his hands walked in behind her. He then allegedly groped and raped her, before fleeing the scene.
The victim left the Christopher Street bar in the Greenwich Village neighborhood and returned an hour later, according to an NYPD spokesman. The victim then called 911 and was taken to a nearby hospital.
The NYPD confirmed to BuzzFeed News that the department’s sixth precinct is investigating the incident and that no arrests had been made as of Monday morning.
The Stonewall Inn was the site of the 1969 protest that gave birth to the LGBT rights movement and was declared a New York City landmark in 2015.
A spokesperson for the bar did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

40 years ago I worked for a company that made Disco bar stuff. Neon Dance floors, etc.. We did a convention in NYC, and some mob guys bought our display. Paid us with a suitcase full of used bills! We installed it in one of their bars on Cape Cod. A gay bar. Creepy job!

I think a “transgender” means someone who dresses like/pretends to be the opposite gender, but hasn’t had their junk surgically altered-so a transgender woman is just a guy dressed as/pretending to be a woman-what sane people still call a transvestite, or a trannie...

Transvestite is a dude in a dress without the proper equipment underneath to warrant wearing it. Transgender is a dude in a dress who has the proper equipment underneath that was done surgically to warrant wearing it.
I simplify the situation the old fashioned way by just referring to all of them as “queers”. I don’t need to know their individual anatomical and psychological hang-ups.
The weird thing is that some of these new men with boobs still like women..so don’t know if that makes them queer since they are now a woman.
