Ted Cruz has been accused of having at least five mistresses, including CNN anchor and former Cruz employee Amanda Carpenter. The media claims Cruz has denied these accusations.
Cruz is lying, according to multiple trial lawyers and experts on persuasion. His lies are hard to spot, because his lies are also truthful.
Consider what Cruz said in response to the news story:
Let me be clear this National Enquirer story is garbage. It is complete and utter lies. It is a tabloid smear and it is a smear that has come from Donald Trump and his henchmen.
Lets look at what Cruz did not say. Cruz could have said, I have never cheated on my wife. Why didnt he?
Consider the oath witnesses take before testifying. I swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Isnt that redundant?
Ted Cruz is accused of having had an affair with five women. He could say, Thats a lie. I did not have five mistresses. If Cruz did have one mistress, then hed have told the truth (he didnt have five) but not the whole truth (he had one).

It is complete and utter lies is not a denial?

The point is, a denial of WHAT.
Some folks don’t understand the logical problem.
I do not have to. There will be a suit and the High & Mighty Courts will decide. In fact, I think one state court has.
Beside, he ain’t never gonna be President. There ain;t no way in Hell, he can beat Hillary.
To show competing females just how powerful she is? Alfa female bedding the powerful and the wealthy in the DC inner circle.
I think you are right, that makes much more sense.
Yet his supporters are like the musicians on the Titanic.. Going down with the ship.
Go read it. He makes good points, and backs it up with Carpenter's own tweets. I think his analysis is interesting.
Where is the pic you described with the cheese? Can you post it?
Thanks!
If it was me in his shoes, my statement would have been "I have never been unfaithful to my wife. The NE has until Monday morning to issue a retraction and apology, before my legal team files suit for slander. That's all I have to say. Good day."
CNN's viewers. She did commentary for CNN that night. Perfectly reasonable for the selfie generation to do that kind of thing.
Good grief: CNN has Ms. Carpenter on right now!
Amazing.
MSM: Miss the FOREST for the trees, once again.
If it comes out that the report is true, will you then issue an apology to the FReepers in question?
The charge of "bearing false witness" means that the person in question falsely reported as having personally seen or heard an immoral or illegal act. As far as I can see, people here are just discussing the allegations, and giving opinions as to the likelihood of the allegations being true.
Here it is as we speak:
The ($500K, excerpted) money from the Fiorina campaign was laundered through a company called MLJ Consulting. Nearly half of the money spent on ads, over $251,795, was paid to MLJ Consulting. On top of that, MLJ Consulting received an additional $271,152 for services described in FEC reports as Political Strategy Consulting/Staff Management or Political Strategy Consulting/Travel. (The FEC is currently requesting coordinating information on the payments and deposits left out in the filing by the Fiorina campaign.)
The payments to MLJ from the PAC Unlocking Potential have continued into the current campaign cycle. Nearly half of the $210,656 the super PAC has spent has been paid to MLJ Consulting, mostly for Political Strategy Consulting/Staff Management. The campaign and both super PACs, Unlocking Potential, Carly for America and MLJ Consulting seem to have secretly worked with Sarah Isgur Flores.
Sarah Isgur Flores received a one-time payroll check of $3,582 from Unlocking Potential, which she joined in February 2015 after leaving the Republican National Committee. Two months later, she was paid $148,375 by Carly for America, the super PAC. And one week after that, Flores received an in-kind payment of $12,700 from the Fiorina campaign. She then began receiving biweekly payroll checks of $10,052 as the deputy director of Fiorinas campaign.
This is the most reasonable manner that the Hush Money was paid by Keep the Promise I. (The Ted Cruz Super PAC Operation!)
Love to say I told you so, but I told you so!
From Smoking Gun. Aptly named and time for Ted to explain or resign. Did Trump make him send the money?
I call her identitypoliticsbarbie. If she really is a she. Some FReepers on another thread decided that he’s a war gamer living in grandma’s basement.
You wanted the perfect candidate. A man without sin. I have some bad news for you.
As far as Trump is concerned, it's not that I'm attracted to his sexual adventures, it's just that I don't care. I want somebody who will fix the illegal immigration situation. Period.
Another freeper in another thread had a good analogy: if I want a leaky pipe fixed, I don't care if the plumber has been faithful to his wife, or swears like a sailor. I just care about whether he's going to do a good job fixing the pipe.
takes 2 to tango.
