Donald Trump and his backers want to redefine mathematics, and have the GOP nomination handed to him with a plurality of delegates, rather than a majority, being sufficient...
The Republican party has held 39 national conventions since its first in 1856. At each and every one, a majority of delegates was needed for someone to get the nomination...

John Fund = NRO bot
It isn't Trump they're screwing it's the millions of people who think he's the best of the lot of Republican candidates. They're so used to screwing the electorate, this may not even give them a moment's hesitation
Suck it Fund. New sheriff in town.
For the record, that’s my prediction too. But even if he doesn’t, he’ll get the votes at the convention.
If he's Romney, he gets the trophy for getting 3/4 of the way around the track. LOL! :)
He wins if the rst of the field only gets halfway...
BTW, terrible analogy...
Fund makes a terrible propagandist, and that’s basically all he is being here.
He implies the rules have been the same over 100 years. FAIL!
The RNC has tinkered with the rules to the point it’s very difficult to obtain the required 1237 delegates. The party wanted control. They didn’t want a rogue. They thought they had rigged it to prevent a Trump. Guess again.
Then to openly make public comments about a candidate trying to get the public to flee from supporting them? Talk of running a third party. Hold secret meetings to destroy a candidate? Real fair Mr. Fund.
As for people who voted in the minority for also ran candidates, it’s absurd to compare them to the majority who voted for the guy with a vast lead on his nearest competitor.
Would Fund also want us to think those who voted for Romney against Obama in 2012 and lost, are also disenfranchised?
Voters may not like it that their candidate didn’t win, but they don’t come away thinking they were disenfranchised. They come away thinking their guy didn’t attract the voters he needed. Duh!
Go suck a rotten egg Fund.
That depends...was he knee-capped and still was ahead of everyone else? Then yes the trophy is his.
Monsieur Funde,
Eh, why have you decidee to ignore the clear sabotage to Le Trump’s path to the victoree by proven liars and cheats?
Par example, have you a raison for Monsieur Kasiche to be in le race, yes? Mais enfin, Monsieur Kasiche is aving his cake to eat it too. Is he not an agente of the cabal of deceits? Alors que Romnie, Grahame, McConnelle, etc.
And now Monsieur Crux is l’agent in thee same manière, Non? Ok?
Alors please Monsieur, c’est quoi cette merde de ton ecriture? Non mais allo quoi! Te Foudre!
From the article it only happened once, Lincoln, when the leader with delegates going into the convention lost in the 3rd round of voting. So it is very rare that the leader with the majority of delegates would not get the nomination. Fund is trying to do something to Trump that has only happened once in Republican party history yet he tries to make us believe that it is something that is just routine. The GOPe continues to treat conservative with disrespect and disdain. A trump win would put a stop to all of this and change the Republican party forever.
If John Fund doesn’t know his way around some scrotums other than his own I’ll kiss someone’s butt
My gaydar is Wil Robinson level when he purses his lips
“...The next president is going to be Trump or it is going to be Sanders or it is going to be Hillary....”

You are such a PATRIOT. Thank you for giving us this selection of three.
Wrong analogy. This is more of a 'close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades (and political conventions)' analogy.
Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin to slit throats.

I met John Fund at the 2012 Presidential debate party in Las Vegas. I felt I could approach because he was drunk. He told me a story that went on for 10 minutes about Disneyland. He talked about the computer dolls that go back and forth and how they make the same motion over and over and over. He obviously had told this story many times because he said it with the inflection that only those who have told a story over and over can conjure up. The punchline to this Disneyland story was: AND THAT’S WHY MITT ROMNEY WILL NOT BE THE NOMINEE THIS YEAR, he said smugly and surely.
I suggest you take everything John Fund says with a grain of salt. I do.
Beautiful!
John Fund also writes for the Wall Street Journal:
“I would like to cancel of the WSJ —John Fund is a bad man...”
I just couldn't justify the effort for John Fund, a transparent fraud.
There are indigenous Yukon hunter gathers that posses more analytical horse power than John Fund could ever hope to muster. Down on their luck tilt-a-whirl operators run circles around John Fund. Even the ones with bad skin. At least they apply creams and antibiotics whereas John Fund goes to bed with cheesy poof remnants between his teeth and in his hair.
