As of this post ...
Trump has 696 delegates
needs 1237 - 696 = 541
541 is 59.7% of remaining 906 available pledged delegates
Cruz has 425 delegates (424 pledged + 1 unpledged)
needs 1237 - 425 = 812
812 is 89.6% of remaining 906 available pledged delegates
Kasich has 144 delegates
needs 1237 - 144 = 1093
1093 is 120.6% of remaining 906 available pledged delegates

541 is very doable ~ 598 delegates alone will be awarded via ‘winner take all’ states alone. And another 300+ in hybrid/ proportional states

Hilarious! I hope this is the rule in Minnesota & Virginia and I hope that Trump makes it across the line just based on those who dropped out first. That would be icing on the cake

the [Alaska Republican] party said that under its rules, if a presidential candidate drops out before the state convention, the percentage of national delegates pledged to that candidate is to be reapportioned.
Well, THAT was quite a surprise for me... Does anyone know if any OTHER states have this rule?
And how about Puerto Rico? or MN or DC? (where Rubio had significant numbers)
and is there any difference between "dropping out" vs "suspending"?
