House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Thursday blasted House Republicans for their intention to file a legal brief challenging President Obamas unilateral actions on immigration.
Its ironic that theyre having this vote on St. Patricks Day, Pelosi told a news conference. Last night, we had a celebration of the Irish-American heritage. While I do not have Irish grandparents, I do have Irish grandchildren, and one of them was there at the dinner and we talked about immigration.
Pelosi then turned her attention to Irish citizens who are in the United States illegally: So, and what its about is all the Irish who are here 50,000 who are here who cant even go home for a family funeral because the law would not allow them to come back into the country. They are not here, shall we say, fully documented, and we need to change the law, comprehensive immigration reform.

Why can’t they go home?
she is harboring 50k illegals- at least Irish illegals
Of course they can go home, and they should. If they want to come back, they can follow the law.
I’m surprised she didn’t pass a bill that they could go home and get an abortion.
The only thing that might stop them from going home is not having a valid passport. TSA et al would not allow them to leave the country. Of course, they had no problem breaking the law to come here or stay here too long, so a little issue like sneaking back across the border should be a minor detail.
“illegal is illegal.”
Correction..., they’re Undocumented Democrats.
I hope they stay to piss on nanzis grave.
What part of “Not my problem” don’t you understand.
I know a girl who moved here from Canada. She tried for over five years to get her paperwork using an immigration attorney and doing it all legally.
She even met a guy and got married (a real marriage) and that didn’t help.
She was in Detroit area and her family was in Windsor. From certain points, she could almost see her parents house (literally) but could not go visit.
That’s just the way it is.
It took about five years to work out.
They can always go back. I believe they can also return if they haven’t been caught as being here illegally because AFAIK we don’t do visa exit checks. Someone here on a tourist visa would not be recorded as leaving. We need to start doing that so we can prevent the return of visa abusers.
I don't have a problem with giving the Irish illegals amnesty. In fact, I would let any non-criminal with four European grandparents have a green card. The Irish, Poles, Lithuanians etc will assimilate into our homeland. Their kids will vote GOP. Hispanic immigrants, OTOH, are still filling failing schools and jails, demanding affirmative action preferences, and electing democrats three or four generations in.
...just fill out this J137-2 Illegal Reentry Permit and....
If they’re here illegally, they are not non-criminal. And no, they would not assimilate, being criminally-minded already and having liberal upbringings. I used to live in Ireland, my mother came here from Dublin legally too, and I say no amnesty for them.
Is that the one the illegal alien murderers use?
I’ve been hearing the 50K number for well over a decade, perhaps 2. It’s just like the perennial 11M number for the total.
Someone should ask her why she is being paid if there is no need to follow the laws she and her ilk keep writing and passing.
Should have been her funeral, bet if they were blakc she would have kept her big anus shut
Heard this one at a St. Patricks Day party:
What’s the difference between and Irish wedding and an Irish funeral?
One less drunk.
I’m 1,000 percent behind that.
