I don't have a problem with giving the Irish illegals amnesty. In fact, I would let any non-criminal with four European grandparents have a green card. The Irish, Poles, Lithuanians etc will assimilate into our homeland. Their kids will vote GOP. Hispanic immigrants, OTOH, are still filling failing schools and jails, demanding affirmative action preferences, and electing democrats three or four generations in.

If they’re here illegally, they are not non-criminal. And no, they would not assimilate, being criminally-minded already and having liberal upbringings. I used to live in Ireland, my mother came here from Dublin legally too, and I say no amnesty for them.

You got it. Nancy is just trying one of the new tactics they have in mind for doing "one little thing" then being shocked when it makes every illegal in the country magically into a legal citizen.
