Conservative movement professionals in Washington, D.C. are plotting to form a “blacklist” of Donald Trump supporters that they can kick out of the movement, never to return.
Several conservative talking heads and Beltway consultant types have been very angry about the rise of businessman Trump, who is pushing for American sovereignty, a reversal of neoconservative foreign policy, and competitive bidding for pharmaceuticals even though the drug companies that fund the Republican Party would take a financial hit.
So far, anti-Trump think pieces referencing William F. Buckley have been ineffective. Memes comparing Trump to Hitler haven’t worked. So these Republicans are getting more Nixon-y. They’re coming out with an Enemies List.
CNN contributor and former Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) spokeswoman Amanda Carpenter volunteered to take the lead in writing the list.
But Carpenter, who once got called an “idiot” by Donald Trump, did not mention that she formerly defended Trump on numerous occasions. Luckily, savvy Twitter users pointed it out for her in the responses below her tweet.
Carpenter later explained the terms for inclusion on her “blacklist.”
Carpenter is not alone in calling for a blacklist. Red State contributing editor Ben Howe said that he has the resources to get a high-tech “blacklist” off the ground, as well as seed money from God knows who in the donor class.
Others in the conservative media industry have called for “no forgiveness” for “Trump enablers” and have warned that the conservative movement will “never forget.”

I find this amusing. Inside the Beltway “conservatives” are going to blacklist a group of people from the conservative movement.
That presupposes that there are any “conservatives” inside the Beltway. Oh noes, blacklisted by the conservative icon Karl Rove!!! I hereby banish you from the island where me and my five friends are going to form a massive, majority conservative movement comprised of moderates.
Now, I see why many conservatives oppose Trump. I oppose him in but in the confines of supporting my candidate for the nomination and working to try and get him that nomination. But if Trump wins fair and square so be it and I will support him as the nominee.
But this childishness is getting out of hand. Really?!?! Going to blacklist and look for a third party candidate when you supported Romney (holding nose) in the last election. That makes me doubt that there these people are really conservative at all. Also, who the hell is anyone to “ban” anyone else from the conservative movement? What are we, liberals?
I called my House rep last week and promised her that I would work vigorously for her Democratic opponent if she denounced Trump and interfered in the election process.
Not sure she cares, but if enough people do that, there will be cracks from those who don’t need party money to win an election.

These people hate Trump supporters more than they hate Trump. And I’m talking about us little people.
Powerline has already dropped Breitbart from its list of favorites. (And it has been on an almost non-stop anti-Trump crusade for the past few weeks).
Carson will off that list soon enough. Someone will offer him a better job and he will bolt Trump.
It truly is painful to navigate and is "not responding" almost continuously.

Boy, these guys are tripling down on their disdain for those who don’t toe the company line.
Anyone who challenges these core principles that THEY have defined as "conservatism" is the enemy.
We start by insisting to revoke these people’s credentials to the RNC in July. They just do t need to be there subverting the party and those who support the nominee. Out they go, they can go form their own little party now, the one with no voters.

This is serious. Republicans need to unite and support Trump and stop being taken in by these slime balls who say Trump is racist, Trump is a NAZI, Trump is authoritarian and their favorite Trump is not a conservative.
