Rush, while clinging to Cruz, nevertheless has really put his finger on what these people have to lose financially and in terms of their prestige and power.

It’s disingenuous to suggest opposition to Trump means support for Hillary.

Trump is a progressive authoritarian populist with a poor grasp of the issues. He’s not conservative by any stretch of the imagination and he does not speak about freedom, liberty, or the Constitution. He believes government is the solution, not the problem, and for that main reason I oppose him. I do not support Hillary.

Trump’s astronomical negatives (you have seen precisely nothing yet if you think he’s been attacked in the media) will ensure a Hillary victory unless she’s in prison. I see Trump support as working for Hillary because he’s more or less the only possible way to lose against her.

Rather than extend an olive branch branch to his conservative opponents, Trump extends poison oak.

I’d rather see him as Trump’s Chief of Staff. Let him work behind the scenes.

Agree.

Newt has had his A-game as of late.

It is fun to see him in form again.

Uh, where do you think Gingrich has been since he stepped out as speaker and walked away from his House seat?

K Street. Where many lobbyists, consultants, former elected and appointed government officials, pundits, commentators work.

What the heck, sign me up.

What better way to sabotage the campaign for Herself than from within?

Get into a position where there may be responsibility for scheduling meetings, and foul them all up on location and times, or mis-matched meetings between the spokespersons and a perhaps skeptical or hostile media figure. Mess up travel connections, and arrangements for pickup at the other end. Lose communications, or let out some information that should have been “eyes only” or of somewhat questionable benefit to the campaign. Lots of ways to pull “dirty tricks” right inside the organization.

Hmmm, I guess that explains why the Democrats, Republican Leadership, and the ENTIRE MAINSTREAM MEDIA(Democrat Propaganda Wing) wants to STOP TRUMP??

Funny thing about pols, people LIE, Reagan was way behind Carter in EVERY POLL and won a 47 State Landslide.

If not VP, he would be an excellent addition to the administration

No. When Gingrich is good, he is good. Then, he sits on the couch with Nancy and signs onto the global warming fad. With Gingrich, one never really knows which side he may be on. Recall that HE was the one that announce that the era of Reagan was dead.

Notice, too, that he didn't really get much voter support for his 2012 presidential run.

Many {heart} Newt. Many MORE don't.

“Trump is a progressive authoritarian populist with a poor grasp of the issue.”

I disagree. Trump is right on the issues.

Tell me what do you disagree with:

Securing the border
Enforcing immigration laws
Reforming legal immigration
Ending Sanctuary cities
Preventing the uninterrupted flow of narcotics form Mexico.
Stop trying to appease the corrupt Narco criminal government in Mexico
Stop sending millions of dollars of foreign aid to Mexico with no request for cooperation
Stop appeasing anti-American groups like LaRaza
Stop allowing Mexican illegals to get millions in fake EIC tax credits
Stop making manufacturing and business in general uncompetitive in the U.S.
Stop encouraging companies to move jobs and operations overseas
Stop providing welfare and taxpayer handouts to people here illegally
Don't increase the national debt to over $20 trillion or over $30 trillion
Strengthen national defense
Support law enforcement
Clean up government corruption and reduce the size of governmet
Better treatment for veterans in VA hospitals
Don't spent millions of taxpayer money bring hundreds of thousands of unvetted Muslims into the U.S. most of whom will go on welfare
Strongly fight terrorists and interragate them

Newt is right about this.

Before this Presidential Primary I believed, as a Conservative, that our side champions free speech. Contrary to what the left said about us being intolerant and walking in lock step……..they were wrong and their charges unfounded.

But this primary election has revealed another side of “us” and changed my opinion. Maybe there was something to the charges laid at us. As the candidates started to line up I noticed one of the radio hosts I listened to, Glenn Beck, siding with Cruz and criticizing any other conservative radio host who gave Donald Trump any consideration. His attacks got stronger, comparing Trump to Hitler. Hitler? Really? That’s a pretty horrendous charge, and reminded me of the tactics the Left uses to destroy people. It totally turned me off to Beck, and I was a listener for years. As time went on, I noticed he wasn’t the only one to behave in such a manner.

Neither Trump nor Cruz are faultless, neither fits the exact mold of some, I have questions about both …BUT NEITHER ONE IS HITLER OR THE ANTICHRIST……the end of our republic will not come at the hand of either of them…...I believe that both love this country and want to save it from destruction. Lets give them both a fair consideration and hearing.

And now some want to throw the election to Hillary? What is wrong with us?
I recommend turning off the radio political preachers, think this thru, and calm down……or we may miss the boat …..and have serious regrets.

I would guess the Trump has read Alinsky's Rules for Radicals. A good businessman knows the playbook of his enemies and use it against them. Otherwise he would be an idiot, which we know he is not.

I dare any anti-Trump Freepers to cogently explain to me why they think he is stupid. They seem deranged enough to claim that he calls babies "the other white meat" so I would like to hear their thoughts on his intelligence.

The anti-Trumpsters like to bring up ‘negatives’ and that Trump had 60-some % negatives, yada yada yada. Negatives are meaningless, especially when candidates are winning races and primary polling.

They also try the reversed psychology: Yeah Trump won such and such state, but he only got 45% of the vote. That means 55% oppose him

They fail to mention that the other candidates had lower vote totals, thus larger numbers who oppose them. For example, one never hears that another candidate only got 12% of the vote, that means 82% voted against him.

There has been some talk of Newt being Trump’s Chief of Staff to help him get his policies through Congress.

Apparently you missed Cruz’s “negatives” on tuesday. 13% in Ohio and 17% in FL is no way to win the general. OTOH, Trump won every county but one in FL. Low income, middle class and wealthy. All Trump.
