Poll: Donald Trump Hits 65 Percent in New York, More than 50 Percent Ahead of Ted Cruz
Breitbart ^ | March 17,2016 | by MATTHEW BOYLE

Posted on 03/18/2016 7:36:14 AM PDT by Hojczyk

A new poll out on Thursday obliterates the latest mainstream media narrative confronting billionaire Donald Trump: That he can’t get majorities, but can only get pluralities, in election results.

The poll of New York state, conducted by Boston’s Emerson College, has Trump dominating his only two remaining competitors in the Empire State with 65 percent of Republicans there backing him. Only 12 percent back Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) Trump’s closest competitor, and just one percent support Ohio Gov. John Kasich.

The poll was conducted over three days, March 14 to March 16, during two days of which Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)79% was still in the race. Rubio dropped out on the evening of March 15 after an abysmal performance in his home state of Florida, where Trump walloped him by more than double digits.

In the portion of the poll conducted before Rubio suspended his campaign, the pro-amnesty Floridian got just four percent in New York. Nineteen percent chose someone else or were undecided.

Trump’s favorables are also higher than Cruz’s or Kasich’s ratings. “Trump has the highest favorable ratings with GOP voters, 71%/23%, followed by Cruz at 52%/44% and Kasich at 54%/34%,” the polling release states. “Consistent with other primaries, Trump supporters are the most loyal, with 89% of those who see him favorably planning to cast their ballot for him. In contrast, only 21% of Republicans who have a favorable opinion of Cruz say they will vote for him.”

Trump was a pal of the late George Steinbrenner, maybe the Yankees open the stadium to Trump for a 65,000 person rally. They could call it the Subway rally.

I tried to tell all the Cruzbots on FR that the “New York values” remark would come back and bite him.... Those 95 NY delegates look pretty appealing to Cruz now, don’t they?

Even in the realm of crooked there won’t be enough establishment delegates.

We’d be talking about the E-class successfully hijacking around 600 delegates from Trump and Cruz. A couple hundred might be doable, but 600 is several bridges too far.

Just reconfirms what we already knew: there are a whole lot of mindless people in NY.

I tried to tell all the Cruzbots on FR that the “New York values” remark would come back and bite him...

For those of you who don't know what he/she is referring to...

Trump on Meet the Press, 1999:

Russert asked Trump about gay marriage. Trump didn't want to comment on it, but said he has no problem with gays in the military.

He explained, "I've lived in New York City and Manhattan all my life, okay? So my views are a little bit different than if I lived in Iowa."

When Russert asked Trump about abortion, he said he's "pro-choice in every respect" and again cited his New York background, which he said has a "different attitude" from most of the country

________________________________________

October, 2013 (Trump was 67 years-old at the time):

Fred Dicker: What is it going to mean for Donald Trump to have Bill de Blasio as [New York City] Mayor? "

Donald Trump: "He's a smart guy that knows what's going on really big league and I think he is not going to want to destroy New York."

(Voice Over: That was Donald Trump a little over two years ago, endorsing [Marxist] Bill de Blasio for New York Mayor)

Donald Trump: "I think pretty strongly that he'll end up being a good mayor, maybe a very good mayor."

(Voice Over: De Blasio ran on class warfare, sanctuary cities and ending stop and frisk. De Blasio's sided with looters and cop killers against the police, with teachers unions against schoolchildren and with PC liberals to let the homeless run wild on city streets)

Donald Trump: "I think he is going to want to make New York great. ..."

It should be held up in Broome County. Mr Trump is very fond of our area, as he used to go to summer camp up here. He used to call our local radio show once in awhile also. He has been too busy with the campaign to call lately though. ;)

Maybe not VA. He barely pulled it out in the primary and VA is heavily Fed. It’ll be close, tough slog.

If anyone (republican)on this earth could win NY in the general - that person would be Trump. Seriously. He actually has a shot.

I am thinking that they will offer Ted the VP if he agrees to help them push a GOPe in a brokered convention.

If Trump gets all the Romney states and wins FL and NY, how close to 270 are we ?

Heck either, NH, WI, VA, NV, IW + FL and NY give Trump the election.

My "blue" state of New York is not in play yet unfortunately. It will require a 15% (D) crossover from last time ( net 30% ) to just put in to play.

Florida is indeed purple and infinitely do-able for Trump although Cruz or Rubio or Kasich would easily lose it. The (R)epublicrat GOPes failing to understand something this simple proves they would rather lose the election to Hillary than win with Trump.

NH is still "blue" unfortunately, but it along with NJ or CT are the top three "Blue" candidates to be stolen back with a tailwind and God's help. It will be difficult but you never know. Maybe something unexpected might happen out west too with a surprise win in either OR, WA, or HI. One thing is for sure, if *any* "Blues" start flipping on election night it means a very lonnngggg evening for the (D)ummycrats.

The others you list WI, VA, NV, IA are four more of the twelve purple states which McCain/Palin lost and Romney/Ryan took just two ( IN, NC ). I'm not at all convinced yet about WI or VA, and highly doubt IA. Add to those doubtful purple states CO as well.

The five remaining purple ones are definitely on the table in likely order of possibility: IN, NC, NV, MI, NM, added to FL and he wins easily. Add in any "Blue" states and he is over 300 and a great victory with a mandate that Congress cannot possibly refuse. If some of the other "Blues" get snagged from the (D)ummycrats then the White House will be renamed to the Trumpicana.

But let's not get ahead of ourselves because the electoral map today is badly aligned against us and the Red/Blue paradigm remains at +70 minimum headstart for the (D)ummies.

If I may, Virginia is only “purple” because of the NON-Virginians who have migrated to the Richmond and coastal regions. Central and south-western VA (where I live) is FIRMLY red, red, red. Sickens us to see our state go to the dark side and vote in Democrats because 4 or 5 counties have more residents than the rest of the entire state who are truly Virginian.

Trump will easily win NYS, not Cruz and not the other guy with zero chances.

Woo hoo, can’t wait to attend a NYS Trump rally upstate!

If Pataki can win statewide as a Republican, so can Trump. If fact, where is Pataki?

New York is not even in play yet in the general. He would need a massive direct 15% (D) crossover to cover the net +30% ( 28 to be exact ) loss by Romney. And we in NYS are getting worse over time, being one of the few places that Dumbo actually improved in 2012 over 2008.

Pataki is not evidence of anything. All of his elections were off-year. If our Governor election was sync'd to the quadrennial Presidential contest then and only then could we say that it was significant. BTW, all those Governors running in this past (R) primary were off-year election winners.

Scott Walker like Kasich was 2010 and 2014, Gilmore was 1997, Perry 2002, 2006, 2010, Christie 2009 and 2013, Huckabee and Jeb Bush were 1998 and 2002. Jindal 2007 and 2011, Pataki 1994, 1998, 2002. That is important information since each of them have the chutzpah to brag about how electable they are although they never face the (D)ummycrat onslaught head-to-head in those years the enemy is most energized.

Those who know him best. New Yorkets recognize a street fight when they see one..

It's also telling that those of us who live in Florida rejected Rubio - our 'home town' guy...

...like Westchester County has shown support for Trump, much like the tony suburb of Lake County outside Chicago gave him a majority. What happened to the media narrative that only the dispossesed and uneducated support Trump?

Ummm, seems the media lying... Also eight States gave Trump top spot with college educated voters - something the MSM neglects to comment on...

Yep, NOVA is killing the most important colony/state in our history. Birthplace of our most important people. Can't you eject those counties around the District of Criminals? Just kidding, not really. We want to eject NYC, my hometown which is now just a mass of 90-10 or 80-20 (D)ummycrat voting blocks.

VA, IL, NY are three of many examples of mostly "red" states turned "blue" or purple from huge collections of cancer cells concentrated in the liberal big city welfare plantations. In fact, we're a lot like you in VA or IL just turned upside down.

Tidewater VA has been more or less split. It’s the People’s Republic of Northern Virginia (may it’s name ever be cursed) that is screwing it up.
