Poll: Donald Trump Hits 65 Percent in New York, More than 50 Percent Ahead of Ted Cruz
Breitbart ^ | March 17,2016 | by MATTHEW BOYLE

A new poll out on Thursday obliterates the latest mainstream media narrative confronting billionaire Donald Trump: That he can’t get majorities, but can only get pluralities, in election results.

The poll of New York state, conducted by Boston’s Emerson College, has Trump dominating his only two remaining competitors in the Empire State with 65 percent of Republicans there backing him. Only 12 percent back Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) Trump’s closest competitor, and just one percent support Ohio Gov. John Kasich.

The poll was conducted over three days, March 14 to March 16, during two days of which Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)79% was still in the race. Rubio dropped out on the evening of March 15 after an abysmal performance in his home state of Florida, where Trump walloped him by more than double digits.

In the portion of the poll conducted before Rubio suspended his campaign, the pro-amnesty Floridian got just four percent in New York. Nineteen percent chose someone else or were undecided.

Trump’s favorables are also higher than Cruz’s or Kasich’s ratings. “Trump has the highest favorable ratings with GOP voters, 71%/23%, followed by Cruz at 52%/44% and Kasich at 54%/34%,” the polling release states. “Consistent with other primaries, Trump supporters are the most loyal, with 89% of those who see him favorably planning to cast their ballot for him. In contrast, only 21% of Republicans who have a favorable opinion of Cruz say they will vote for him.”

>>Yet Kasich is all over the news saying he will be the nominee, even though it’s a mathematical impossibility - so in other words, he’s lying.

He’s acting like a fool, sort of like Rubio, at this point. Talking nonsense for all to observe. One wonders why.

The Electoral College Map is getting interesting. Mine says, if Trump can take New Hampshire, he wins with 272. If he takes New York, it's completely over!

New Yorkers, Get Out the Vote!

>>How in God’s name can they just pull someone out of thin air that clearly isn’t going to get the votes for their party?

Easily. The RNC is a privately-owned organization. It is not accountable to voters. It makes its own rules, and changes them as they see fit. Voters votes hold no power over them, save for the power of the unified masses in action.

This election cycle has been a real education for many of us.

I wonder why they never mention that the same poll has Hillary beating Trump by 17 points in NY and has BERNIE beating Trump by 19 points in NY...

Going upstate on Highway 87 after you leave Albany, as you’re driving through the Adirondacks and Lake George there’s a sign that says “Voted America’s most scenic New Highway in 1966”. Beautiful place, all of upstate NY. I lived in upstate for 15 years, not far from the Canadian border. My daughter and granddaughter still live there.

Very beautiful area. One of my favorite vacations was near Lake George. I think it was the same period we went to the Saratoga Races.

I wonder why they never mention that the same poll has Hillary beating Trump by 17 points in NY and has BERNIE beating Trump by 19 points in NY...

The only people who actually believe that also believe that O.J didn't kill Nicole, Michelle Fields was assaulted, the Apollo landings were fake and Jews from Mars flew flying saucers into the World Trade Center.

National surveys have nothing to do with state-by-state general election contests. You could survey Texas and decide Cruz or any (R) beats Hillary. Do the same in elsewhere and it is different. Do a non-scientific sample across many states and it all depends on whose supporters respond.

The truth of the matter is that the Presidential general election demographics and electoral distribution is a very dire situation for all (R) candidates. Has been for a long time. And it has been getting worse each and every elapsing day since around 1988 when the demographic chickens started showing up at the polls.

If you want to really convince people of your fantasy that Cruz could ever win the general election then you should easily be able to answer these questions that describes the election in a nutshell ...

I'll even list those 12 battleground states for you: OH, PA, NC, IN, FL, IA, VA, MI, WI, NV, NM, CO, and remind you that McCain/Palin took 0, and Romney/Ryan took 2 ( NC, IN ).

So exactly how does your guy pull this out?

Cruzers must stop with the nonsense surveys which are distracting us from the real election battlefield, they are simply not related. You are not helping our knowledge base and making us all dumber instead. Dumb will not win this election or ever save America. Only smart, situation awareness has a chance to be successful.

FYI, I know that in this Post you were talking about my state of New York. It is ludicrous to think Sanders would blow out the win greater than Hillary.

As I said, Trump and any (R) would probably lose NYS to Hillary. But Trump would indeed make it closer, not losing by 28 like Romney. He would be down 10-15 currently, but it could change depending on the campaign.

My above post is addressing the incessant alleged national head-to-head surveys that you guys are reduced to spamming everyone with. It is beyond lunacy to fall for that. Address the state elections, not surveys.

amazing! NY must be considered Trump’s home state.

Yes, dp, settle down. I don’t want to see you escorted out of the NY rally! (not that I would know it’s you, but I’m sure you’d tell us about it the next day, LOL!

Yes, and I saw some local Facebook comments about how now Rubio can focus on running for Gov of Florida now that he’s out. When will it stop? The guy was just handed his a** in his home state where he was once very popular, and there are those that think he should now run for Gov??
