Ted Cruz on Wednesday mocked Donald Trump for bowing out of a debate next week in Salt Lake City, and the Texas senator vowed to call out the GOP front-runner at a gathering of a major pro-Israel lobby group next week.
Trump said earlier in the day that he would not participate in the Fox News debate in Utah on Monday, and John Kasich quickly said that he wouldn't attend if Trump didn't. Later on Wednesday, Fox News formally canceled the event.
Trump said he would use his time instead on Monday to address a conference hosted by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, the prominent pro-Israel group. Cruz's campaign said in a statement Wednesday that Cruz would use his time at the same conference to "highlight Trump's positions -- or lack thereof -- in front of the thousands of AIPAC members in attendance."

I believe it is attacking his position on abortion.
Cruz knows he's losing and is overreaching; perhaps he really believes he has been anointed to be President. If so, there is no reasoning or compromising with him; it is religious fanaticism, and he will use Israel as a prop to achieve his ambitions.

Either they will give it to Cruz after the recount, OR, they will use this as “proof” that they don’t cheat, so when they cheat in Nov, they can point back to this as an example.

Trump DID say he would support partial birth abortion. Absolutely.
What? They have not asked any abortion questions this entire primary. What has Cruz done to stop abortions? Nothing and he’s in the senate. Did he write a bill making it illegal to have an abortion in the United states? No he didn’t and could have even if it was vetoed but he doesn’t care about abortion at all. Cruz is a big talker and fake.
A year from now Cruz memory will be as prevalent in the minds of Americans as New Coke.

Yes it is, and people are noticing, and they don't like it. Cruz has horrible judgement. Look at the three losers he's partnered with. Beck, Bush, and Romney. All three are duds.

Upon reflection, there is something to what you say. His constant assertion of being "the only adult in the room" had a certain appeal during the Trump/Cruz/Rubio food fights.
Still, policy statements and reminisences delivered with accompanying karate chops suggest a certain, er, well...eccentricity?

Well, it is obvious that Trump is afraid.
He’s even afraid of Megyn Kelly and he’s really afraid of Ted Cruz who would muss up his comb over.
Defend to the hilltops, but if Trump thought he could do well or win the debate, he would be there.
