The biggest plus is a Trump/Cruz ticket would immediately secure the nomination for us (the majority of the right-leaning grassroots voters), end any possibility of a GOPe betrayal at the convention, and would ensure the Republican party is finally with we the grassroots people (tea party, conservatives, religious people, economic conservatives, business people, middle class, blue collar, national security patriots, etc, ie, a rebirth of the Reagan Coalition) and against the globalist GOP big government establishment. Itd be a yuuuge middle finger to the elite ruling classes of both parties.
And it would have coattails guaranteeing a pro-America landslide against the America-hating Marxists and a strengthening of the Republican majority in the congress and in local and state governments. And finally begin a return to constitutional, pro-America, pro-free-market government and a reversal of the slide into godless socialism and globalism.
A mandate from we the people to secure the borders, enforce the law, deport the illegals, end sanctuary cities, end the war on Christianity, cut the taxes, cut the government, cut the regulations, end the war on American industry, end the war on coal gas & oil, bring back a growing economy, bring back manufacturing and jobs, and rebuild the military.
Unlike the GOPe, this is what real Americans want and what both candidates propose doing.
So lets quit bickering, join forces, and make it happen.
I don’t really think it will happen. Cruz doesn’t seem to have the personality to do this.
No.
I don’t believe Trump supporters are only a handful.
I agree, I think it is highly unlikely that a deal will happen; however, I wouldn’t count it out. We will now before the convention if a deal needs to be made or not.
I think Trump/Cruz is a major WINNER.
And .. a great big poke in the eye to the GOP-e.
If Ted is VP, the arguments against him would be in the hypothetical.
There are numerous Trump supporters, but I don’t think that there are many Trump supporters that would not vote for a Trump/Cruz Ticket, thus only a handful. I personally don’t support it for numerous reasons. If it happens I will be extremely disappointed but I will still vote for it.

Amen to that!
That is what I see too...Glad to see you offer the idea on this thread.( just catching up, maybe others have said it too)
VP and then promise of SCOTUS when wanted by Ted...might be the way to go...or just first opening to SCOTUS? There will be others who leave the next term.
I would like to know who Trump really wants for VP.
Yes, I’m not disputing that. My reply was to the context that many (a plurality) of Trump supporters would not support a Trump/Cruz ticket. There were many Cruz supporters how adamantly said they would not vote for Trump under any circumstance. Just as there are Trump supporters who won’t vote for Cruz. The poster just makes an absurd argument, and refuses to see how it applies the same to Cruz supporters.
Thanks!

Yes I think so. However, given the vile nature of the anti- Cruz posters I have seen here on FR, I see little chance of that happening.
NO Question!
Sibling rivalry.
We all come from the same Fathers - the Founding Fathers.
“In a lot of ways it would be nice, but I dont know how Trump does it after insisting Ted is an illegal Canadian.”
No. Trump said that there was some question if Cruz was a “natural born citizen,” and said that Cruz needed to legally settle the issue so that court cases wouldn’t cripple him if he was nominated. Trump was 100% right.
That is my worry with Cruz. Who is really pulling the strings? It's the same worry we have had for the past 8 years.
I do not think these two men are suited for each other as a team!!! Both are to strong will and their egos would DEFINATELY clash !!! Trump needs a Walker, Huckabee, Scott, someone of this nature!!! NOT KASICH this WILL lose Trump the election!!!!!! I for one could NOT support him with Kasich on his ticket!!!!
